Check if Costco has any Champion 4500w inverter generators. Canadian Costco had them in store at amazing prices as they're clearing them out.
The reviews had me sold on this model.
I'd call a local store and ask them to check all other stores around you. The admin line can do this in 2 mins. They might be able to steer you to a store that has stock.
Basically, they were selling them half the price of what every other hardware store is asking for them.
Unfortunately I was not fast enough in my area. But there still is talk of them being in stock elsewhere in Canada/US.
