I was in contact with a forum member interested in some Home Paulsons so I took pictures of a few sets we were negotiating... I ended up selling the Worlds... I'll definitely miss that set... Chips will leave Michigan tomorrow, going to a home where they'll get some use and much needed TLC...

Now, I finally sold a set (with a heavy heart) and I have at least 4 other chip projects I can put that money on...

Anyway, three sets, Worlds with Pink PCR NCVs, PCR original colors tourney and PCR Cali Cash:

Going strickly by edgespots, the Worlds are prob my favorite of those sets, but the PCR cash set is a beaut. Have you had color transfer issues from the black $20s to the yellow $5s or white $100s?

When I was building those sets a few years back, my intention was to have all the Home Paulson 'Pips mold' colors represented... I love most of the colors and spots really... The original green for example, if it wasn't a home chips, it would be among the prettiest $25s imo... Same with the old Yellows, just gorgeous chips... I don't love the original 500s but they go better with the set than the new 500s... Long story short, I can't pick a favorite set out off those 3... I think the PCRs show the chips better but don't stack as well as the Worlds...

Regarding color transfer, yep, I can definitely tell the yellows on the Cali set are being 'contaminated' by the blacks... I only had one rack in play for one game but I can tell that rack from the other clearly... It doesn't bother me too much though...

Just one more thing, although I'm not necessarily a fan of the new black chip spots, in my case, my Cali $20, I have NEVER seen a prettier black shade on a Paulson chip...

Damn nice sets. I need me some nice sets.

I love the pips mold with hotstamps. I get a little peeved about the pips mold with inlays.

If I had to pick a fave of those, I might go with PCR tourney.

Awesome sets, and being a big PCR fan I would agree you made the right decision letting the WT&C go.

I have a rack of these as well and definitely agree, I think it's that most black paulsons are hundreds and have extensive spot patterns. These have spots that don't take up much real estate and allow for a lot of the black color to show through, especially in stacks, they have a nice deep tone to them.

Those PCR quarters are just perfect with the TH&C $1s!

I agree Larry! Those pink chips are certainly pretty... Now, I know you'd hate it, but I had plans to put a label on those (sorry!)... The hot stamps were so well done I could just slap the labels on top of it without a problem... I designed the label and even had GEAR run some samples for me... I would never ruin those chips though... ;)

It was a tough choice for me man... I like some aspects of all 3 sets... And I agree with you, for some reason I favor the PCRs, although slightly... I love the Cali Cash set! ;)

I was just comparing those black chips with a few Casino Paulsons I have... Only the base, covering the spots... The black still seems way deeper to me... Maybe it's the slight different clay composition they used on the home sets...

I agree, guys, the black on those PCRs is so deep, I've never seen anything equal to it. All other black chips are dark shades of grey in comparison (to my eyes). Has always been my favorite chip. I have just a partial rack of the hundos and will never let them go.

Pink quarter (NCV) are incredible too.
