Hello All!

A hearty welcome from Topeka, Kansas. The home of Basketball, the end of slavery, and sunflowers. No mention of Kansas is complete without the Wizard of Oz, and the Yellow Brick Road.

I joined the forum after a few years of content from Jon Hobby (Hobbyphillic).

I recently bought a house 6 months ago. Recently, I decided it would be fun to eventually get a blackjack table and the accompanying accouterments… including a chip set.

As many of you also, I’m sure found that “dice chips” are just not good enough for the discerning gamer. So, I decided to finally join the Poker Chip Forum.

Thank you!

Welcome to PCF!

That is a beautiful set of chips. Since this is a cash set, I understand why you went with $20 but it would have been fun to see a green $25.
This belongs to @Toby.

He is responsible for a not small amount of some of the most fantastic sets you’ll come across on this site.

Also goes to show, think of a theme, there’s likely either a set or a mockup somewhere on it!

Thank you for sharing with me. Does PCF also have a section on table games equipment?

I saw this cool video the other day, of someone making a working dealer shoe out of cardboard (I will link it if that has some interest). I’ve been trying to find out if anyone has made a 3D printed dealer shoe as well.

I find the whole category fascinating.

I know there's some stuff and places specific to tables and storage and all that here https://www.pokerchipforum.com/forums/poker-chip-racks-cases-and-storage.18/

@Machine was kind enough to put this together for new members. I still remember joining here and the learning curve was steep, and that's when this place was in a lull and much quieter  :ROFLMAO: No idea how comprehensive it is, but might be worth a perusing at some point too.

Welcome!
You'll be hard-pressed to find equipment that hasn't been shared or posted. While I don't think anyone has tackled making chairs from scratch, you never know!

So, I bought a small set of chips just now. I wanted the dealer shoe, that came with it. I’ve never seen these before. Anyone know what they are, or where to do chip identification??

Yellow is 5 - Blue is 10 - Purple is 50 - Red is 100

Clearly not a conventional set of poker chips. They’re plastic. Light.

Again, I only got theM because they came with a dealer shoe, and that was what I actually wanted.

Jetons! Similar to chips, used in some European casinos. Cute little set, maybe good for a board game or travel/heads up.

Here is a picture of the dealer shoe. I have some knock off “BGC” (Bee) cards in there. I will be curious to see how they perform, when I get home.

I drove an hour to buy this, and the what I now know are “Jetson” chips.

I mean, I only spent $15. — The journey will continue!! Now that I have finally joined PCF!
