I have 330 Terribles $1's in my mixed casino set - they're in great condition; I'd call them near mint - sharp edges, no fleabites. I can post good pictures if somebody's really interested. I'd prefer THC chips - LCV or SCV makes no difference to me. I'd greatly prefer white $1's, but would consider all offers, condition is important, though they certainly don't have to be mint, and I'm really a sucker for the older textured inlays - that might be the most important thing. If not, I guess I would have kept my Cleveland horseshoe $1s.
I'd want 2-3 racks, and I wouldn't mind trading 3 racks for two if that's a fair deal considering value.
Anyway, my point is if you're interested in Terribles $1's and have some $1's you think I might like, lets see them!

Here's 300 of them. If you zoom in, you can get a feel for their condition.
Like I said above, I'd be happy to swap 3 racks for two for the kind of chips I'm looking for.

Blowing up the set or just trying to swap out RHC with THC? I'd hate to see you blow this set up. Great combo/mix!

Thanks, that's the problem. I don't plan to blow up the set because I really like the colors as they are. I'm not a huge fan of RHC chips, and since I only ever use this set for .25/.50, the workhorse chip ends up being more the $1 than anything else - the lone RHC chip - the one I don't want to be married to.
But the odds of me finding a $1 in colors I like just as much, are slim.
So I dunno.
I could leave well enough alone. Truth be told, I love the Terribles inlay - love it! But I'd love it a lot more on a different mold.

I'm in the same boat as you, having RHC for the first 2 denoms and THC for the other 2 denoms (hundos are gone). But we differ in that the mixed molds don't bother me a bit. I don't put them into play enough to worry about faster wear on the RHC either. I may be in the minority, but for me, colors and spot progression (and availability, and condition) are more important than THC/RHC mix.

With that said, the Aztar MO $1 on THC mold could work nicely for you but everyone's looking for those.

If you love the colors, and love the inlay, and already have done the tough job of finding 300 mint, don't fix what's not broken (IMO) (y)
You could be right.
It's not the mold difference that bothers me, it's just that I have a strong preference for molds with more exposed clay. (I bought the terribles before I figured that out.)
I suppose another solution would be to buy a second set of ones I could use with the mixed set . . .

Have you seen the Horseshoe Baltimore THC $1s?

Soon after it opened, I picked up only a couple barrels while at the tables playing poker (pic below). I haven't been back for a while, so I'm not sure how the chips have held up in the poker room, or if they have newer condition $1s at the cage. (If I could go back in time, I'd have harvested a few whole racks of new chips.)

I haven't seen those, but they're pretty good.
However, I'm happy to say I found some chips that check every box, pretty much. The casino royale's are leased, THC mold, textured inlay beauties. They're definitely a bit worn, but the majority of them look pretty close in condition to the Cleveland Horseshoe ones, which felt incredible.
These have weird hearts and busy spots and I'm excited.

Nice chips. Very unique $1s. Curious to see how these look with your set.

P.s. for your Terribles $1s sale thread, I was considering them, and was in the middle of typing a very non-committal "Gotta be tonight, huh. Hmmm..." when I hit post, PCF gave the message that thread was closed. Boy, that was fast. Saved me $500 :)

Low price, but then again, with the chip room ramping up, it might have been just right.
Ant to answer your question, i suspect they'll look garish.
