Cash Game BEST DENOMINATIONS FOR $20 buy-in with .25/.25 BB-SB (2 Viewers)

Thanks for the insight guys.

Another question I have for my set is, Do I need $25 or $20 chips? Like I stated before I don't think I will be using the $5 chip a lot. But like some of you mentioned they will be necessary for rebuys, which I agree. But how often do you guys use a $20 or $25 chip? Especially if you play limit games and most buy-ins are $20/$25? Do I really need it?

Get a barrel, at least for shits and giggles. When a chip ot two comes out, you know that it's a special night.

Besides, ex-casino $25s are some of the cheapest chips around.

My bros typically play $20 cash games because we play often and it's not for money - it's for fun. Rarely we play $50, keeping in mind for those games.

Our last night I started 5 of us with 12x0.25, 12x1.00, 1x5.00
It worked out well, we did have enough for more buybacks although we ran low on 0.25 by the end. (150 in set)

Much of the time we have 8-10 players. We will buy back often.

I've been messing with an excel spreadsheet. For these games, it might make sense to keep 12x initial stacks on hand.
That would mean a base of 144/144/12 (bank $300)

So running with that. My first set draft:
150 x $0.25 / 200 x $1.00 / 200 x $5.00 / 50 x $25.00
plus for fun, because they look nice and cheap way to bulk the bank:
10 x $100 / 5 x $500
