Hello! I'm looking at getting 2 sets of poker chips. One for tournament games and another for cash games. I have attempted to combine a couple of sets I've found on this website for maximum flexibility so I can run a number of different games. I'm planning on having a maximum of 10 players at a time. In order to keep the cash and tournament sets separate I'm planning on keeping the same art and differentiating my sets by removing the $ sign from the tournament set. Am I missing anything?

Tournament T100 25k and T25 20k
-- Taken from here. This is a combination of the two non-economy sets.
25x120
100x150
500x50
1000x120
5000x60 (plaque)
25,000x10 (plaque) -- Will I be able to use these?

5c/10c 10c/25c 25c/50c 50c/$1 $1/$2 -- Taken from a comment here.
5cx200
25cx220
$1x220
$5x400
$25x80
$100x20

I appreciate any feedback!

On your T25 Tournament did you mean 20K? That's 400BB's and is quite a bit more than most tournaments start with. 10K is more the norm.

I would not do the 25k plaques personally but you do you. I would add more 5k's. Too many denoms can be unnecessary and exhausting

As someone who bought a set to cover those cash stakes and it was silly, why do you think youll be running that huge range? By the time you move from $20 buyin to $400 buyin, your preferences will have changed and chances are youll get another set anyways.

If they're cheap, spring for the 200 nickels, but its really not necessary. We end up with way too many on the table, even at my beginner games.

Breakdown does work, do you only want 2x500 value chips in your tournament stacks? I'd drop 10x100's and get 60x500 instead for 4 in each stack.
As for your cash set you will likely do fine with 0.05x100 and at most .25x200....
Looks like you want to be able to cover .05/.10 up to 1/2? If correct then you should be fine. Depending on how deep your 1/2 game goes you may want to add another barrel of $100 and maybe $25
Cash
100x.5
200x.25 (could do with 120 or 160 also)
200x1
400x5
100x25
40x100
(If you want to order even racks pick another 60 chips of 1,5,25 or 100 value)

What would your starting stack be for tournaments? I use this for my T25

This is for 1 player. So for 10 do x10

12x 25
12x 100
5x 500
7x 1000

Total of 10.000 starting stack

For my T100:

10x 100
4x 500
7/X x 1000 ( X : depends on starting stack, I do 30K so 7
4x 5000

So you can do the math. What chips you will need. But I would use this thread
For the cash. I cant help.

Sorry I was doing AM math....lol

If I was doing 10k
25x12
100x12
500x5
1000x6
Usually I do 5k with rebuys though

For change I'd have
10x100 more, 10x500 more and 60x1000
As for 5k chips technically at most you would need 8 more to cover all the starting stacks. Any extra 1k,5k or 25k chips would be to cover rebuys.

You'll want to have 2 different chips for your 25 and 100, same art is fine, not having a denom is fine. I would have slightly different base colors and different inserts / patterns on the chips.

For a combo single-table T25-base/T100-base single-table set, plan on 12/12/5/6/2 (20k) and 15/5/11/3 (30k) starting stacks:

120 x T25
150 x T100
50 x T500
110 x T1000
70 x T5000
----------
500 chips. T25K chips will not be needed.

For a cash set covering all stakes from 5c/10c to $1/$2:

150 x 5c
200 x 25c
200 x $1
250 x $5
80 x $20 (or $25)
20 x $100
-----------
800 chips.

My thought process is that I have a wide variety of friends to play with who can afford different buy ins. I will have to evaluate how much of a buy in they'd actually be willing to participate in though!

I believe for T25 the starting stacks would be as follows:
T25x12
T100x12
T500x5
T1000x6
T5000x0

T100 the starting stacks would be as follows:
T100x15
T500x5
T1000x11
T5000x1

Do these seem reasonable? How did you arrive at your starting stacks?
