That blows!! But I kind of thought maybe slow playing the made flush. I get runner runner BS, and I absolutely love Kings... but you were a ways down the list for winning hands here! Always next time bro, at least it only cost you $25... my best hand ever was a $500 pot holding KK and far from the nuts in that situation as well, I called a shove on a Q high flush draw flop and it held... I easily could have been walking into something much bigger.

Reviving this and summoning @CraigT78 to give me some sympathy or to talk some sense into me. Not sure what I need more....

Chip up and chip up, find good spots, go all in, get suckered every time. Look how sad that graph is. Not getting a fraction of my equity.

Playing tiny stakes this morning cause I'm on work calls and just doing it for the distraction so I'm not really upset about this particular hand but cmon...

You have actual proof online poker is rigged.

Mine is 100% based off feeling.

What’s with the 10% donk lead?
Meh, in my (limited) experience, in these online microstakes games many people will play ATC and then fold to anything on the flop. It was a small cbet to build the pot a bit when I felt confident I was ahead and didn't mind calling/reraising if he raised. It was meant to induce exactly what happened....

73% sad

{Quite) possible I'm also just bad

Sure you got what you wanted but no you’re also giving flush draws a fantastic price. Let him bet and you check raise. This flop smashed your range and by donking the flop you aren’t going to change equity of your opponents range.

We have 9 guys that play cash game on PokerStars on a private table, once a week for 1.5 hours. Each week, we get river cards that give the worst starting hand a win at least 20 times in that time frame, each week. It is indeed rigged if players don't raise pre flop to get most to fold, and even then it still happens frequently.
At our last home game on a "real" table, in 4.5 ours of play, we counted 6 times that a river card hit to give a player a win, as a comparison, playing similarly to the online game.
Playing online is very frustrating, to say the least.

1.5hrs online is about 90 hands. Live 4.5 hrs you might get 60 hands. Online is 2x more rigged than live!

That's a good point. My task is to count the amount of online hands for the 1.5 vs the river hits, then do the same for the real 4.5 hour game. That will keep me busy and likely be a distraction for trying to play as well.

TBF, I play about 10-15 hours per week online and in a live, homegame setting maybe 10hrs a month. I’ve been the victim of way more ‘bad beats’ in live home games than I have online.

We’ve had this discussion on the forum before. With a dealer and players who are paying attention, you are lucky to get 25hands per hour. In a homegame setting you might get 15-20 hands in per hour.
We shall see.

bad beats and suckouts don't mean rigged.

I'm much more concerned with collusion in online games than rigged games.

Here's a rigged hand for you (mind you at another table I got 4-bet jammed for 150BB about 5 minutes earlier. AKo<99. In that situation it was UTG vs me in the LoJack. That should have been a fold but I figured why not I was wrapping up soon anyway. He’s probably got aces or some marginal hand he is trying to bluff with.)

It really does feel all ins online just summon the bad beats. Ouch!

So frustrating playing every day for a week where literally EVERY big hand I flopped (top pair, 2 pair, set) was beat by an opponent catching a card on the turn, save for 3 instances were 2-outers and 4 -outers. 2 of the remaining 3 instances was my flopped monster vs. a flush where we ran it twice and opponent made the flush on both rivers.

I know "that's poker" but I'm finding that for ME, after 15 years of playing poker that variance for me is actually when a big hand holds up, which is rare.

After a while you figure there is only so much "profitable" poker you can play where you actually lose money before you just figure statistics have decided to ignore you and give up or take a long break.

Need to play live again soon (been a while since I did) and see how that compares.

This is why i quit playing online poker years ago... I honestly believe they know who is going to win the game before it even starts...

At our last online 1.5 hr private table, we dealt 70 hands, and hands were won 20 times on the river card with 9 players.
I just had a real game at my table, we played for 4 hours with 8 players, and we had 5 hands won with a river card hit. I think we played 80 hands, or roughly 20 per hour.

Are there any deep statistics on this anywhere? I would think in 2024 there would be.
