Sad to hear you’re dealing with this but you’ve had some great advice.

Any ex Casino set that you will be able to buy easily here, it will also be easy to find the same chips on eBay.

I would not worry too much about the Tina/China issue as a custom set made through them would still require your cheat to contact the exact same manufacturer and order copies which would the. Take months to arrive. That’s a very determined cheat and a highly unlikely scenario.

A custom CPC set is clearly in your future. When you order the set, I would get secondaries of the high denominations ($100 & $500) for added security.

Good luck on your search! Although what’s brought you here is sad, hopefully you’ll get some enjoyment out of designing your future set.
 
Another option not exactly discussed, is the @detroitdad method. Buy a set or two from the classifieds. After felting them each a few times, sell the current sets and buy different sets.

You may lose a little in transactions and shipping, but it would greatly discourage counterfeits and give you time on the CPC production.

We have no idea who it was. I can only narrow it down. I only know my people, we all do very well and cheating literally wouldn't be worth our time.
As far as the non-regulars, maybe see the twice a month or so. I know it's not the 3 other's that split the loss.
If caught again it won't be the host, he has to worry about. We have a Chief, Captain and DA that play in the game.
There are guys who occasionally "bring a buddy." 2 other regular Host now know to watch out. They were part of the original game also.

Wow, someone gets really bent out of shape by opinions different than his own. Bad day?

One most certainly can host a 1/2 game with 25s as the highest denom. In fact for a long time I did just that—back when I spread 1/2, like the OP.

In my current *2/5 game* I most certainly use a few 100s and 500s — because my players like them, and because unlike the OP ***I don’t have an urgent security issue*** in search of a quick solution.

The fastest short-term solution while he tries to obtain a new set is to ditch the 100s and 500s to make this form of cheating more difficult. Next fastest is to order some plaques.

Those measures buy time to find a long-term fix. It’s really not such a big deal.

And this site seems to be acquiring and retaining new members pretty well. Way more active members now than when I joined in 2017.

Your first sentence in this quote comes off very snarky. Thats okay, its a free country, but you cant say that everyone at that level agrees with you, then get offended when someone at that level disagrees with you. Take deep breaths.
 
Listen, you all have been a tremendous help. Let’s not get off topic.

So last night game went great! No we didn’t find the Culprit or culprits. We tried the 2hr break and I must say it was a game changer. We didn’t have nearly as many players get up from the table to smoke, get another beverage or take a leak. We had a timer up on the screen. We let 1 guy leave early after a $2800 hand. We all knew him and agreed. People who previously Had trouble arriving on time could now handle their business or get something to eat, whatever. Worked great for the first time. We are playing around with some software last night able to essentially run a scheduling software. We kept an eye on the chips pretty close throughout the night. The break also gave us a clear table to get a good look at everyone’s stacks before break. Buddy brought a Monte Carlo set this time. Which I see you can grab for $.20 a chip ! :oops: He has 2 more sets that you can just order singles ezpz. We agreed useless against a rat. I would just carry a pocket full of the most common house chips and hope to Play the odds.

I’m going to keep combing through to see what I can get here. So many people have reached out with kind words and support. Thank you truly a happy accident I stumbled upon this community. P.S. you all are going to cost me more than that rat did!

You can always make more money. A really good chip set has a better rate of return in my opinion :)
 
I was going to suggest get a custom clay set made and then have that company go out of business. It worked for me!

idk, I liked seeing the chip photos, and I don't think its off topic

It also seems you're calling someone out for no good reason. There is also another aspect to this forum that A LOT of members don't know about, you're alienating a highly participating member, and polarizing other members that know, met, played cards, shared fishing stories with, that are on a first name biases.

I'm happy to agree with you in discourse, if he had an opposing argument, but toothpic is adding to the conversation. Make a statement that you don't like that many chips on the table is one thing, but a grumpy 'bah humbug' isn't contributing to the post, which I would question if you even care about. So basically you just did what you accused him of. I hope you were just having a bad day and at 4 am you were just grumpy :)

It still has to be a better day than a similar situation in middle America land locked with no sun for months dealing with snow =D, excluding the somewhat recent fires. Hope you're recovering from all of that well.
