Yeah, I was hoping for the individual boxes, like the Tropicanas.

I'm guessing it's all of the colors that inspired the full set.
 
They appear to be almost identical to RHC, but without the 8 little flea bites magnets

Ya, I'm leaning toward the promotional event story. But the timing of their shipment along with the timing of when the Macau Wynn made their decision on which chips they would choose would be a rather interesting coincidence.
 
I do not find anything incredulous about a big company spending $25,000 on a promotional mock up or for a one-off gala. I own several thousand Smith & Wesson chips that were part of a larger promotional mock up project (yes pictures are coming). It isn't remarkable or unusual in any way.

I do not doubt the provenance of these chips. We know what we are doing. We are more attuned to tiny variations in poker chips than any other community on earth. (well except for the folks on the single chip collecting board. I bet they are pretty sharp too.)

People can choose to love them, hate them or just not care very much one way or the other. But no one making knock-off Wynn chips is going to fool the folks at PCF once we get our hands on the chips and can examine them closely.

We can submit the chip designs to the casino and they will get new chips made for us. At the end of the event, they will give the chips back to us AT COST. These chips are no use to them, and they are not live casino chips that need to be destroyed.

Doesn't get any more epic than these. Greatest set ever now IMO.
 
So what do you estimate a group buy order from here would be on a custom designed set with J5 inlays??

FYP, as in this case. You might find these listed on Steve Wynn's personal tax return as a charitable donation. Unlikely it's on the corporate return.
