Hustler Casino Live (3 Viewers)

Whoa, didn't see this but not surprised one bit. Do we believe any Poker PR is good PR and will boost the popularity of the game?

A lot of us are just eating peanuts on the sidelines .. I vote we just get them all in a cage and just punch it out and solve problems like real men.

HCL viewership has been declining since Garrett left, but I’m not sure this verbal sparring will get anyone that currently isn’t watching to watch lame lineups.

Edit: quoting myself so the links are at the top of the page

More drama at HCL, yeesh. Do you all think the game/stream is honest?

I stopped following a while back. Jerry Springer of poker. They stopped inviting the action players and what's left is whiny regs, whales, and one or two competent youtube vloggers. I miss when they had Reza, Dr. Eli, and those super action guys that had personality that got chased away by the whiners.

No doubt in my mind that aspects of the streamed games are scripted. That hand with Tony G's aces getting cracked against Airball's nonsense 10 8 offsuit sealed it for me. Just a really gross soul read by Tony G. I think he realized that he was marked and took a walk to shake off the tilt. He played another couple orbits really tightly and racked up. He nailed it perfectly as an absolute set up hand. I really do believe he was set up to lose a massive pot there.

For a stream that has regularly featured actual rapists, embezzelers/money launderers, and known cheats, I'm not at all surprised. Adelstein can probably beat the game clean based on his skill, but ultimately the juice is not worth the squeeze for him. He can go to smaller card rooms and play 10/20 and 25/50 in a secure setting and make just as much.

I missed this, do you have a link and timestamp by chance? This is absolutely nuts.

This one?

I think when SO much money is involved and exchanged (especially int he context of gambling) .. there has to be some sketchy deals going on behind the scenes. That's my opinion.

Nice find, thank you. Sick hand. Looks like he left a winner too.

Tony G has good instincts and ample experience, so if he smells something’s up, it’s worth a hard look.

This hand made me hate Airball. He's awful and been around so much of the shady poker drama, it's hard to not draw the conclusion that he is part of the Vertucci crap on HCL.

He's tied in with the Garrett/Robbie episode too. Apparently had dinner with Robbie and Rip the day before that stream took place. The nature of the relationship to begin with was very opaque.

I've always been in the Robbie cheated camp but I think Garrett is right that there's something bigger going on. A guy that's as calm and calculated as he is and has made millions off the game just won't go off the handle like he did unless he was absolutely 100% sure something nefarious was going on.

I mean Vertucci is a grifter historically.

When you finally realize that people get hustled at a casino called Hustler:

Since I’ve seen him, I’ve thought that he thinks the Helmuth route is profitable beyond poker. He’s kind of a dick.

The stunt he pulled with Matt Berkey was unnecessary and uncalled for. He’s lucky that was televised and Matt is apparently a pretty relaxed guy.

He got pissy this past Friday too when Mariano was tanking a 6 bet shove by the opponent. Mariano had kings and was nit rolling just a little bit, but the tank was reasonable I think. Berated him for two minutes for it, ironically, about s long as Mariano's tank. It was bizarre.

Did you see what he did to Berkey?

I was also curious about this. If anyone watches the whole stream, not just clips, is Mariano consistently taking a long time for his actions?

He is building a bit of a rep for tanking a bit longer than the usual player, but I would say it's justified 95% of the time. This may have been in the 5% of instances that his tank was a bit too long, but given the money involved and action to that point, it was justified. This is a guy that grinded his way up from playing 1/3 just 5 years ago. Of course he's going to tank any pot that is worth more than an average American's yearly salary.

As if you couldn’t hate him before that - lol. :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO: .

But his little Versace jump suit is all class though - lol.

The latest Hustler drama is just Aces get cracked by suited connectors and the sore loser claims its a rigged deck.

Garret got salty about losing to Robbie, who was clicking buttons. She was so confused that she couldnt even say what her hand was. She probably did think she had J3. She’s a fame chaser and not a poker player, playing with more borrowed money than she could afford.
