If you renting a car consider adding Zion national park to the itinerary. Gorgeous scenery. Do a couple nights in Vegas first though. Then when you go out in that canyon you appreciate two things
-being in canyon
-not being in Vegas

It's been a long time.

I have decided to stay in the Vegas for the New Year 2025.
(I may take a little detour.)
Poker will be able to play 3 days.

If I were you I’d do like first week after NYE, around 1/3-1/10, less packed. I only harvest/play around 5 am to 3 pm because I don’t enjoy being in the crowd.

NYE is super crowded and have higher table minimums ($25 tables become $100, $100 tables become $500 etc). Not good for chipping and for your wallet. More crimes too. I didn’t like it, too much mess and costs 5x more.

Also Vegas monorail sucks so I recommend renting a car. Keep on mind traffic is terrible at night, so I don’t recommend hopping casinos during that time. American public transportation is no good unlike Japan where it is 10/10. I’ve been to Japan and was fascinated by it
