If this is too TLDR for you, read the bolded parts.
I meant to start this before the tournament for all 67 games, but I've been a little busy lately, so we'll start next weekend with Sweet 16 games. The upside is that the payouts will be higher.
Everyone knows how squares pools work. If your numbers match the last digits of final score (including OT) of the game, you win. In this contest, your numbers are active for the last 15 games of the NCAA basketball tournament (every game of the Sweet Sixteen forward). Numbers will be randomly assigned after all squares are filled.
Squares are $10 each. You can buy multiple squares. Payment by PPFF or Zelle (please put your PCF name in the comments). Total prize pool is $1000. I can't find a definitive answer to how the NCAA determines who the home team is during the tournament, so the higher seed team (1 seed being the highest) will have numbers across the top of the grid (0-9) and the lower seeded team (16 being the lowest seed) will have numbers down the side of the grid (0-9). When we get to the Final Four forward, if two teams have the same seeding, the higher seed (with numbers across the top) will be determined by alphabetical order of the Region they came out of (East being the first alphabetically, West being the last). This will only be in play if two identical seeds meet in the Final Four or Championship; otherwise, higher ranking determines who gets the numbers across the top. I'll try to make this clear during the week before the Final Four games if there is an issue. If we don't fill all 100 squares, I'll refund all money. I may go to locals/non-PCFers if we are close to filling up.
Payouts will be:
The grid is here. I will update it with names as we go. Names will appear in red until paid.
