Welp, now that I have found this community, there are others I want more. I just don't have the $1,000+ to invest in them yet. Here is what you did right. You got what you liked the most, not what someone else told you to get after getting samples. Good job.
No I'd say ceramics are regarded fairly highly. They aren't Paulsons or other clay quality but they are excellent chips at a very good price. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.Welp, now that I have found this community, there are others I want more. I just don't have the $1,000+ to invest in them yet.
Is there a common dislike towards ceramics in this community?
Maybe look for a set of Diamond Jack's. They're similar, and can be had cheaper than IOC.
Not to mention solid breakdown! Personally would have gone 300 - $5s... but otherwise solid breakdown. Here is what you did right. You got what you liked the most, not what someone else told you to get after getting samples. Good job.
You are always going to find clay folks in a chipping community. I like both! I went with the super poker world from the same company and same blanks, but designed by a chipper hereWelp, now that I have found this community, there are others I want more. What would be considered a fair price? I got mine from American Gaming Supply for $16/roll, so $640ish for the 1,000 so far.Not at all, but they should be gotten at a fair price. They certainly let the design juices flow since they have an unprecedented level of customization options.

I'm not sure if they are knock offs or not. Here's the site.i thought Nevada Jacks were only available from ABC/BRPro? Are there other companies legitimately printing these or are they knock-offs?

I'll order some from BR and report back. Likely need another rack of 5's.They're also on thepokerstore.com Maybe b2b sales or they've all licensed the artwork from the same person? There are a lot of knock offs in ceramic poker chip production, but I'd be surprised if the larger reputable sites were doing it, seems like a lot of risk.
I prefer the Nevada Jacks way more than the Tina chips. Tina chips are trying to be clay chips and they feel cheap. Nevada Jack chips are a proper ceramic chip playing into the strengths of what a ceramic offers.
