As plastic playing cards are more budget friendly than poker chips, I've grabbed multiple setups already before getting my second set of chips.

So far I've tried:

Faded Spade 3.0
Las Vegas cards (from a vendor on PCF)
Copags
Lot Fancy
and KEMs from the casino

I prefer Faded spade as I think they're the easiest to handle when shuffling, however I enjoy pitching the Las Vegas the most as the different surface texture makes them glide easier on most felts.

Hoping to try Desjn soon and maybe some broken arrows!

What's everyone using for their home games?
What's eevryones favorite cards to deal and play with?

I'm usually alternating between broken arrows and desjn. I haven't committed to a favorite just yet. My buddy pitched modianos this week which were pretty nice. I'll throw some Faded spade next time to get a feel from them again.

I definitely need to try Desijn and broken arrows! What are the price ranges on 2 card setups for those?

I found that with hand shuffling and pitching for 3+ hours, Faded Spades caused the least amount of strain on my fingers due to it being a little more slick while also not cutting me in any way as they're not super sharp. Dealing Copags have caused me some minor injures to my fingers as they can get stuck to eachother which is such a hassle to shuffle.

Broken Arrow is having a group buy for a new design. $8 per setup

Broken Arrow also is still doing live sales through their online store. You can get more information here. Also $8 a setup

Desjgn is currently working on releasing a new batch of designed cards and card stock. More information

Broken Arrow by far. Bridge Jumbo blue/green or the new group buy that you can find on Broken Arrow vendor page.

Angel Aristo Club. People complain they're too slippery which I partially agree with, but they just have the best shuffle feel to me. I also haven't had any warping/marking issues after a long period of use, but I haven't gone through enough to say that confidently.

I view cards as consumables - they get damaged and/or wear out and they need to be replaced. So as much as I think KEMs are the best in the world, I’m not interested in a $60 setup when I can get Broken Arrows for $8 per setup. Especially when the broken arrows are good - maybe 80 or 90% as good as KEMs; they’re a touch stiffer than I personally prefer, but they flat out work.
If you’re doing all the shuffling and dealing, then your personal preferences matter. Most of the games I play in are pass the deal. So my preferences matter less - what works best for everybody is more important.
For example, some people prefer cards with a smooth finish on the face because they pitch better. Fine for them. But if I pass the deck to the guy next to me and he’s a lousy shuffler and those smooth faces cause the deck to explode, that’s a problem. So for my purposes, it’s less about what I like and more about what works for the crowd. And at a low price.

I want cards that everybody can shuffle with ease, pitch with ease, gather with ease, and have easily distinguishable suits and pips. After that, I’ll take what’s cheapest.

And based on that, my current favorites are broken arrow at $8 per setup plus shipping or Lot Fancy from Amazon at $10 per setup with free shipping.

Honestly, if it were easier to source these cards in North America, these threads wouldn't show up here and there wouldn't be much of a debate about this.

Recently, everyone has really loved the latest Desjgn cards, some even asking where to get some before I mention what they are. My old personal favorites to deal with were the NTP Floreales, and Dal Negro Freedoms.

Agreed. 20 years ago (during the Hold’em Boom) both these brands and pretty much everything else was easily sourced and cheaper here in the States. I miss those days!

Absolutely... I started collecting around 2003, and it was much easier (and cheaper) to get a larger variety back then.

KEM, Trefl, Dal Negro, 2012 WSOP Fourniers, Grimaud RDV

Has anybody mentioned Gemaco Superflex yet? Because if nobody has mentioned Gemaco Superflex, somebody really should mention Gemaco Superflex. I had never even had Gemaco Superflex in my hands, then thechiproom sold those Hollywood setups of Gemaco Superflex, I liked the ones I got so much that I got in a couple small orders of Gemaco Superflex before the Gemaco Superflex ran out.

I've heard a ton of good things about them, but never pulled the trigger on a setup... I suppose it's time I make an excuse to buy some!

Angel Poker Acetate (they're actually bridge size). They're better then any other acetate card I've used.
Fourniers/Desjgn are hard to beat. (or Bicycle Prestige if you can't find Fournier)
Marion Pro doesn't get mentioned much but they're nice cards
Lot Fancy is by far the best value card. ($10/setup)

Copag and Broken Arrow are on my shit list for fading. Kem is on my shit list for insane pricing.

I know it's unpopular here but really like Modiano Platinum, lately been using Trefl a ton and just bought Dal Negro to give a try

Passionately dislike Copags though.

Fournier: 'Ol reliable that's consistent and gives you a damn good card every time

Desjgn: Their Modiano stock Victorians and Caicos Casino runs are some of the best cards ever made. Shame they screwed desjgn over. QC and supply chain issues abound since then. Their most recent Dal Negro runs on their textured stock I like also, but not as much as the Modiano stock.

Cartamundi Casino (Belgian made): RIP to them. The stock has been retired from what I understand and the cards are pretty much unobtanium. I have a couple random bridge size decks but mostly only were commercially available in poker size. The nuts in terms of face artwork, IMO.

Piatnik: My second favorite face artwork. Really nice feeling cards too. Linen finish on both sides and shuffle and pitch great.

If I were to pick a favorite, my answer changes by the day but probably the previous three mentioned, with all Fournier plastic stock a very strong #4.

I've got a couple of setups of Statesman that I haven't used yet, but I'll likely break them out for family card night this week.
