Poker chips for toddlers and old people

View attachment 1479479
But chopped first tournament. In for $150 out for $600. Flamed out in the 2nd one, third one coming up in an hour.

2nd tournament they got pissy about phones on the rail for some reason. Yet when it came to the first chopped pot, there was an extra chip that the dealer says “it stays for the next hand”. Casinos, go figure.

THOSE CHIPS ARE IN A CASINO??? Like a casino that has a name? A name they didn't want on their chips?

Cruise ship. Celebrity Equinox.

Jesus, I’m standing here and the small blind is short. So the big blind says I only have to put that out there, and the button thinks he only has to put out the short blind all in. So instead of it being a 400/800 they tried to turn it into a 375/375/375. Dealer was ok with it.

Sometimes it’s just worth the buyin for the laughs.

Rookie move by the button. He should have raised. Since the SB can't cover the raise, he must fold.

Chopped third tournament. In for $450 (3x$150) out for $1200 for the day. Slots is probably a better return on the money for 4 hours. Could be more if I didn’t chop but could be less too.

I’d rather play losing poker than winning slots.

It was my birthday and we needed a blow out. It’s amazing how many people can turn up when I give them a bit of notice. Previously I’d tried to stand games up with 1-2 hours or days notice. This time I gave people weeks. Ended up with two full tables. 15 players. 24 buy-ins at penny stakes. Basic little customs with Statesman cards are a novel change for some. Main game was from 1pm to 6pm, after that, people only have to give a rounds notice before cashing out (but no one hit and ran), all wrapped up with a wild bomb pot at 9pm.

Dishonourable mention to my wife who asked me to get her a rebuy when she got snapped off, the caller was a person on a draw that didn’t get there, and her Ace high held.

An additional dishonourable mention to myself, cashing in with that sweet birthday luck. All in on tilt with A2 off after a bad beat the hand before… flop comes AA2. Quadrupled back up. What a time to be alive.

Wild luck to a new player that felted 3 people with a Royal Flush, including someone who had pocket rockets that gave them a book.

Saturday was another fun night at the Zombie Poker Club. 18 players braved the storms that were ravaging the area. Always good to arrive early, because late-arrivals may get slim pickings on the 15 pound brisket:

One of our players had won the last 2 tournaments is a row so there was a bounty put on his head (chips). The posse showed, and some were bringing the luck o' the Irish:

Final hand from Saturday night:

Dealer decided to peel off an ocean card for giggles, and it would have reversed fortunes, as both stacks were fairly close in size.

Aces uncracked for my first victory since May 2023. In $30, out $290. -$70 for the brisket leaves me with $190 to fix the lawn (I really hate the heavy spring rain on poker night). Oh, the fun of being a host.

Few pics from last night’s league event. $20 rebuy tourney builds a $1540 pot.

I've been terrible about posting home game photos lately. Played a STT progressive bounty game followed by mixed cash games afterwards. It makes me happy that I'm able to get multiple sets into play in a night

I think I went 3 for 5 with 7-2 but nothing was crazier than the last hand of the night where @LeCoq went All-In pre-flop. He had the worst possible starting hand & it went from good on the flop to rivering a BOAT for the Double Up PLUS the bonus from every player!

IN for $100
OUT for $207

Five way all in in Chowaha8. Pretty nice to flop quad kings and let wheels do the betting. Took like five minutes to split it.

Another big hand from the night. $600+ pot scoop for @Darson. I was the 1st loser all night but at least I didn’t piss on the wall. Thanks for the pissy memories  :ROFLMAO:
