Alright, about to select folks by random and run it down, will post as I go =)

There were 43 entrants. I placed each name in a text document in the order they came in over the week as folks responded, and then used a random number generator to pick a number between 1 and 43. I took the name from that line and moved it to a new list, then had the generator pick a number from 1 to 42... and so on until I had 8 players.

I did a full 30s wash/2*riffle/box cut/riffle/cut on this deck and it wasn't in new deck order when I started. There sure are a lot of pairs going on here though.
