Hi guys whats the most chips you have shipped international?
Do you declare actual cost of chips?
Typically how long does it take to get to the USA?
Any info you have please share

I bought 400 spotted birds from Germany a few years ago. It took a couple weeks. Can't remember what the customs forms said from the seller. Paid no duty and the sale was for about 800 bucks.

Was that in MFRB express mail? Or it doesn't matter is express or priority it still takes long to get into Usa?

What qty of chips?
What size box did you use?
What priority did you use or did you use fedex/ups?
How much did it cost you?
What is that value to USA
And you listed item as Gift Poker Chips

Also does customs open the box then inspect all the chips? I'm curious as to if some go missing or get damaged? How would you say the best way to ship them? Do you think shippingthem in the white GPI boxes then bubble wrapping an placing in box? Or it doesn't matter Cus customs will rip thru them an look at all

What qty of chips? 300
What size box did you use? Large box (for 600 chips max or 5Kg)
What priority did you use or did you use fedex/ups? Normal
How much did it cost you? €46 ($57)
What is that value to USA I always put a small value (Max €50) because no cops no about value of chips (i think)

Yes always alsoo... i don't want what my american chipper pay is local taxes.

And important the buyer take the all risk of the shipping if never came !(Never happened to me in 10 years in buy and sale to USA).

Sent multiple quantities of chips from 100-600 chips.
Packed in a medium sized box

Shipped with tracking using Local national post and costs Between $30-80 for shipping depending on weight.

Delivery time can vary greatly between 7 days (fastest) to 18-20 days longest. Average is within 2 weeks. Takes 2-3 days to clear US customs.

Value and description I write whatever the seller buys them for unless specifically asked to declare a different amount

What do you mean when you say no duty

I'm pretty sure that a friend signed for this while I was overseas. I don't recall them asking for additional duty because of the amount claimed in the shipment.

There are very few items we in the USA can purchase from a foreign country and must pay import taxes for. Something about throwing tea into a harbor or something.

Just beware the holiday season. I just received on Feb. 2 a bubble envelope from Australia sent on December 19.
:(

I have shipped 8-10 times internationally, only ever in a Priority Mail flat-rate box. They have taken anywhere from 1 to 5 weeks to arrive. I am always careful to state on the Customs form that they are souvenir, home game, retired, or obsolete, and have no redemption value.

OP: are you asking about shipping to international buyers or receiving packages from international sellers?

OP lives in Hawaii.

Understood. But it's not entirely clear (to me) what he is looking for - unless he's looking for advice/options from both perspectives. I initially thought he was asking about receiving international packages...then I read a bunch of responses asking about shipping from US to Int'l destinations.

I have a seller from international and I want to make sure he knows what he's doing since it's the first time sending to Hawaii

Thankyou folks

as long as the package routes through Santa Cruz, so I can inspect it first, all will be well

It would be interesting to know which country he sends from. Each country is different in terms of shipping conditions.
