One EP Limper, Hero limps :3d::3s: in the Cutoff

Villain in the SB raises to $15

BB calls $15, limper calls $15, Hero calls $15

The raiser in the SB has around $300 and seems like a competent LAG who isn't afraid to mix it up. The BB also has around $300 and seems relatively LAG compared with the rest of the table, being more active in pots. Limper is nothing special, seems loose-passive and has $200. Hero has $425

Flop :3h::7h::7s:
Pot: $60

All three players check to Hero, Hero?

Bet $20. At casino 1/2 you're probably getting 2-3 calls: hearts, overpairs, overs, :ah:x even.

If a seven is out there, you'll hear about it soon enough, but even if not, most 1/2 players hate to fold until the turn, so get a few more chips in the middle now.

Hero wants to make sure he gets called and wants his bet to look like a missed draw, but doesn't bother to calculate the total pot size (I'm SO not used to flopping full houses!) and only fires $30, SB calls while muttering about how his Aces are probably cracked AGAIN and flips over :as::ac: and Hero wins

I completely missed this thread and I wish I hadn't.

As played, I like the limp pre-flop with a small pair. There's no reason to make the pot bigger than necessary for when you completely whiff the flop.

However, I think the biggest lesson I've learned is not to miss value. I would've liked to have seen a bet of $30 post-flop. You're going to get called by A TON of hands in this spot, especially AA.

With Villain raising to $15 and getting calls from both BB and EP limper, I feel like there should have been quite a bit more money in this pot.

I also like a bet on the flop. In this type of spot I am hoping someone has a 7 and is going to re raise. If someone does have a 7 your definatley going to stack them. Even the aces will probably call you all 3 streets. If we did check the flop I think we have to put in a raise on the turn. Gotta try and build the pot when you flop a monster.

Curious why not raise from the cutoff pre? Looks like given the stacks you can set-mine here. Did you have a read that you might get popped and have to fold? In general I think you missed a lot of value on this hand. Checking behind on the flop was bad for reasons mentioned. $30 bet on the river was way undersized.

Also, I get you are eager for feedback, but posting the results of the hand so soon after initial Q is just kind of kneecapping the process.
