And you know what they say about opinions.

So do you think we all have an obligation to only list chips on eBay for a certain amount based on what we paid for them?

I suspect we'd all like to see chips changing hands here for less than they go for on eBay -- just as when the ChipRoom sells here first. Then, if they don't sell here, do what you please on eBay.

But if you buy here at reduced prices, IMO you should feel some level of obligation to pass that on here when you decide to sell. But that, of course, can't easily be policed.

There are people who are PCF and CT members not because they're enthusiasts, but purely for a profit motive. You'd like to know who they are, and you'd like them to not have access to CR sales, but that's hard to accomplish.

So what I do is keep my own list of people who sell on eBay at inflated prices chips they're bought here or from the CR. I go so far as to buy one low-cost item from each of them so that I have their real names, emails, shipping addresses, and Paypal info. And when I do start selling off many of my chips, those people will not be welcome buyers.

I think I can agree with this.

IMO there are clear cases of chip flipping that should be strongly discouraged. If @B.C. saw one of the chips he gave away for free pop up on eBay, he would be well within his rights to flame that person. If a guy routinely buys below market on PCF/CT and immediately turns chips around on eBay, also fair game for flaming.

But if someone - particularly a new chipper as here - comes upon an eBay deal and then decides the chips don't suit his purposes (not difficult to understand, especially if the new guy hasn't dealt with chips that have a peculiar feel as giant inlay chips do), I certainly don't think he has any obligation to sell here or at a rate lower than market. Or if someone buys chips here and their value skyrockets over the next year, when goes to resell them, I have a tough time understanding the argument that he shouldn't sell for market.

I guess that is a long-winded way of saying that apart from the most extreme examples, I just don't see what the fuss is about. And this particular instance is among the most benign examples of purported chip flipping I've ever seen. He could hardly have chosen a set that is most widely available and has been available for more time than PNY $25s.

Stop putting words in my mouth.

It's sorta like me asking you, "So do you think Cruz will really like your blowjob?" based on your avatar. I know how lawyers work/speak....

I didn't say, "BG said ______." I asked a question. Do you not care to answer?

To answer your obviously-leading question, no, I do not. Nor did I post anything that would make any rational non-combative person consider that I would take such a ridiculous position. Typical lawyer-speak, trying to incriminate by what questions are asked and how they are asked. You probably can't help yourself.

Here's what I posted elsewhere, which sums up my position:

My only grumble is when somebody buys reasonably-priced and highly-desired chips that are in short supply for the express purpose of immediately reselling them at inflated prices, thereby preventing chippers who actually WANT the chips from being able to buy them at reasonable prices.

Maybe you agree, maybe you don't....either way, you're entitled to your opinion, and I'm not here to sway it. I'm also guessing by your responses, that you have no other knowledge or any dealings directly with the person in question. I have.

In my experience, when people complain about the form of a reasonable question, they are attempting to avoid discussion which you continue to do here. You made at least one aspect of your position clear; I merely asked about the logical result of that position.

I did see your position posted elsewhere, which is what made me wonder why you would post such an over the top response in this thread when it concerns chips which are neither in short supply nor highly desired. If someone wants PNY $25s, they'll find them with minimal effort.

A buyer and a seller agree on a price and a deal gets done. That is where it ends for me. What happens after is between the next buyer/seller and none of my business. Just paid >$20/chip for PCA $500 secos, but I am ok with it since that was what it took to get them. (my wife wasn't ok with it tho). Once, I tried to flip 1000 Empress $5 secos I bought for $0.50/chip from Jim. Ugh, what a PITA. Never tried it again after that, never will try again either. I feel like flipping is a waste of my time and so is worrying about what someone decides to do with their property after I sell them something. They can rub them on their disgusting assy nipples or stick them up their ass and march around their house naked playing Yankee Doodle Dandy on the trombone for all I care. That said, I would want to know they were in someones ass if I were the buyer I guess. That would influence my decision!!

Well it looks like they sold. Anyone interested in a couple more racks. If not I will probably give it a go next week when I return from my trip. PM me if anyone need some secondary PNY 25's. I need to reload my chip fund due to an increased buying spree lately. First Crack to PCF folks but if no interest to FeeBay they go.
