So...my poker crew has decided that they don't want to play tournaments any more. So, it is with sadness, that I post these beautiful chips for sale.

1000 Grand Cardroom tournament set, silver foil hotstamp

Set breakdown:
200 x T25
200 x T100
200 x T500
200 x T1000
200 x T5000

I got these from @Puggy earlier this year. I already knew at the time that my crew was less interested in tournaments, but I couldn't resist the amazing colors on these! Those yellow and orange chips just GLOW. But we just aren't playing tournaments, so these beauties need to go to a home where they will see more action.

I got a great deal on these chips, and I would like to pass that on to the next owner. The price is $2250 (plus shipping and paypal fees plus optional insurance), and I think you'll find that to be quite a steal in today's insane chip market.

But here are the details. I want to give everyone a chance at these, so this will not be a first-dibs-gets-them type of sale. It also won't be a deepest pockets sale. I am not looking to profit from these chips, I'm looking to pass on my good fortune to another chipper.

If you want to buy them, please post that you want them by the end of the day TODAY, Tuesday June 28th. Let's say 10pm, Pacific. If there is more than one person who wants them, then the buyer will be determined by a daily lottery tomorrow on Wednesday (I'll figure out those details if necessary). No PM offers accepted. (unless you have some Nevada Lodge $25s you want to trade me). Please do NOT even consider buying these if your intent is strictly to flip them for profit. You don't want the bad chip karma that would follow!

Racks not included.

I hope I haven't forgotten anything, but if you have questions, please shoot me a PM.

Here are some photos of the amazing chips. Photo credit: Puggy (photos used with permission).

Montel Williams got back to me, so I'm good now. (y)

Sorry for the derail.

I had to google that. No idea he was doing commercials for shady loan companies. My bad for not being more aware of my competition in the shady money lending industry. :ROFLMAO:

Sorry @liftapint, I'll (try) to stop derailing now. GLWS!

@liftapint ... are these the harder BCC "clay"? or the standard/softer Paulson "clay"?

Oh boy, not sure I know the difference. But if I had to venture a guess, I'd say the harder BCC clay. Someone please correct me if you know better.

@BGinGA would know. Dave?

Great set! I'd be all over these if tourneys were my thing :) but sadly, I too and mostly into cash sets. good luck buyers!

:coffee::coffee::coffee:... not sure what I should do... GREAT looking chips, if only those yellow's are $1000s... :coffee::coffee::coffee:

@liftapint ... do you know if there are many more of these "in the wild"? Once or twice a year I run three tables and if I bought these I'd want to snag a few more racks of 25s and 100s (would want 350 of each) to fill out my 12, 12, 5, 6 starting stacks.

Do you know if these pop up often for sale?

These chips are awesome! I would be all over these but I currently have Gold Foil and am looking for additional Gold Foils to complete my set. If anyone wants to sell their mixed set Gold Foils to make room for these awesome Silver Foils let me know.

I highly recommend these to anyone considering this purchase. Pull the trigger, you won't de dissapointed.

I wasn't obsessed with chips yet (not on he forum) when these were made, so I don't know how many there are. I know there are a few sets out there, but I bet it would be tough to find individual racks for sale. I would think if someone sold, they would want to sell their entire set.

Anyone around when this group buy happened, and know how many of these are out there in the wild?

I got my set from the GB. The version for sale here (silver foil, orange 1k and yellow 5k) was the most common choice, and also the same version that Apache had in stock. The GB numbers could possibly be found on CT, or one could just ask Apache. But I agree that loose racks could be hard to come by, though certainly not impossible.

Please put my name in the hat for this amazing lottery! I had been having trouble deciding on a nice tournament set, but these pictures made the decision easy for me. Not to get ahead of myself, but what are the details on the shipping and if racks will be included?

*nevermind, I see the blurb about shipping.

This Grand Cardroom version was produced by Paulson/GPI on the card pip (suits) mold using casino-grade materials (post-lead era). I'd classify them as 'standard' Paulson chips, which are a bit softer than BCC's formula.

As bentax1978 noted, they are color duplicates of the Grand Casino Biloxi tournament set (day green, charcoal, petunia, blaze orange, and canary yellow), and are absolutely electrifying in person. They are absolutely one of my favorite sets in the collection..... so much so, that I sold those Grand Casino chips to Dan and kept my Grand Cardroom set.

I wouldn't call it 'often', but there are quite a few silver foil sets out there (most in the 400-600 chip range). I'd say at least three or four sets have been on the market in the past 24 months or so. A WTB ad offering a decent price would probably get some interest.

Pretty sure Josh needed to pre-sell at least 5000 chips to get an extra color (fuchsia for a 5 chip). I'm thinking he pre-ordered 10,000 of each of the five colors, so about 50,000 chips in existence, most were silver foil (75-80% iirc). Because it was a for-profit group buy, the GB thread on CT was removed after the forum rental time ran out, so very little information remains. Excellent discussion board policy (not).

I'd be all over these (especially at this price) and double my set size, if I weren't already in the middle of four other big chip deals. GLWS, Mel.... you absolutely sure you can't find some tournament players in your area? ;)

Racks not included (I will add this to the OP). And I will work with buyer to ensure safe shipping. If I were the buyer, I would choose 2 X medium flat rate boxes. 1000 chips in a single box gets pretty heavy, and doesn't allow much room for padding. 500 chips per MFRB would be much better, and well worth the protection.

OK, we have one name in the hat! Do we have a winner, or will we watch the lottery??

I am bulking up the high end of a couple of my cash sets just in case the downsizing continues -- so a tourney would be possible with the cash set (not worried about security with my crew).

And I haven't let the TRK Suicide King's out of my death grip yet :)
