    3. Bids must be placed in whole US dollars, following the specified minimum increment amounts. The use of the dollar sign is optional. Bids using images or spelled out numbers are not valid.
    4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via Private Message/Convo. Sellers are not permitted to bid on their own auctions.

1 Rack of EJ $500's for auction. Hate to let these go, but it's time to find them a new home! They look great on screen, even better in person. Good luck all!

Discerning sophisticated Empress aficionados will note from the photos that it appears all of these chips have the proper LCV mold.

Heathen savages (like @newyorkjames) in search of ghetto Primary SCV $500s will need to look elsewhere.

I don't think I've ever actually sorted these to be sure they are all the same. Happy to if anybody wants.

The amazing thing about these is they are the same inlay shape as the Binions T500 and obviously leaded 8V. Surprised we haven’t seen it done much before (or have we?).

Disclaimer: I have no responsibility for whatever the next maniac to own these does with them. As of August 8th at 9:01pm, if someone goes full Dexter on them, don't come after me.

The last time a disclaimer worked on PCF was . . . never. Its never worked :)

What kind of maniac would kill beautiful Empresses to make fake Binions?
If I had decided that these were the ideal chip for the T500, given that the real thing is impossible to get, I would personally have no problem with it.

However, I don’t think this chip is the perfect candidate because the spots are only one color instead of two, and the spot color is to close to the T100 spot.

I also do appreciate that many people have Empress sets and would value the chip as original in their own set.

Fuck. This falls under the category of “information that would have been useful to me BEFORE I dropped a sizeable investment in the pitchfork division of KMCo”.

....and that's why I murdered them and gave them T25k labels instead

Game changer, now there’s a chance my KMCo investment will make up for my failure to get in on the ground floor of T8terCoin.

Being honest, I’ve never cared for fake chips myself, but that’s just me, and everyone is different. For those who do like fake chips, I’ve never really understood the practice of ruining actual casino chips, especially casino chips that are only available in small quantities like these Empress.

If I *did* want fake chips, I’d just re-label some of the group buy chips, as they could ultimately be recreated if desired. Or, consider getting some china clays, or even china ceramics (“Tina”? - some of which admittedly look pretty nice).

All that said, I’m also cognizant of the fact that when people permanently destroy casino chip history, they’re making the chips I have that much more valuable.

So yeah, I personally benefit from the chip murder, but it still makes me sad that it results in the loss of real casino chips that can never be replaced.

The LCVs feel nicer, too. They’re real, and they’re spectacular.
In all seriousness, they really do have a great feel. I don't know what it is about the 500's but they just have a slightly different feel than the other chips in the lineup.

Or maybe these are just that much less worn than some of the other chips in the set :p
