Table looks like it is decently made, but I am not a fan of wood racetracks and the playing surface is slightly raised above the racetrack. But for $125 it seems like a decent deal. Does anyone know if it would be difficult to cover the racetrack with SSC to bring it to the same height as the playing area? Or is it more work than building a new table?

I re-felted a table similar to that one. If you can remove the center raised felt area and the rail it is relatively easy.

After removing the center area, remove the felt and padding. The section of wood that remains should fit back in place. Cover everything with HD foam and new felt, reattach the rail and viola - new table.

I actually used foam wall board for the center section in my table because I didn't feel like removing the felt and padding from the center section. It was the same thickness and worked great.

I've done exactly that in the past. Get yourself some headliner foam and a few yards of SSC, and you might be ready to go for around $200.

I sell insulation, so I have plenty of closed cell elastomeric rubber to use under the playing surface. It works great and I don't have to worry about a spilled drink soaking into anything.

I was unable to check out the table in time and it sold already. Not a big loss as I wasn't wanting another 8' table anyways. I want a smaller over flow table for 6-7 players anyways.
