Have you compared it to another 39mm chip to see if it made a difference in circumstance?

I didn’t sand the whole chip just the spots. There are little 1/2 mm indents on the spots. Not perfect but not overly perceptible to the untrained eye

Hand sanded or did you go with a belt?
