I kind of joked with my boss one day about this. Told him the drama in this “community” is TV worthy haha

I’ve always thought this community would make an excellent episode of “This American Life.” The specific episode that comes to mind is The Feather Heist, a story about a very small passionate community of Victorian Salmon Fly collectors and makers, and one new kid’s quest to become the best in the community.

The flies require rare feathers to be deemed more precious / collectible, and so this kid ends up trying rob the Natural History Museum in London — of their bird feathers.

It’s an incredible episode.
