I've been in contact with the seller (Gary) and I told him that I would pass along his offerings. He has 2000+ clay Roulettes (mostly Paulson, some starburst, some ASM) along with 30+ Paul-son racks. He is asking $20 per 100 chips and $4 per rack. Gary also noted that he has the ability to pick up more Paul-son racks in the future.

Note: There are also some super diamonds and unicorn mold chips, which do not have the value of clay chips. I believe they are on the left in the pic.

It's used in certain table games in casinos (Pai Gow Poker is the most common I've seen.)

If you bet $5 on the bonus bet and someone else hits 4 of a kind or better, you get paid as well. They use the button to signify whether or not you bet the $5 or more, as they pay/sweep the bonus bet prior to paying the envy bonus.

Also I'm sure someone beat me to this, but I reached out to Gary this morning. Depending on where he is in Illinois I may be able to drive and pick up the lot, so I'm hoping it's somewhat close and we can reach a deal. Thanks Dan for the lead, hopefully someone here can grab this stuff!
 
If somebody does scoop the lot, I'm interested in half a rack each of the pink, blue and yellow anchor chips.
 
FYI, for anyone considering pickup, Gary lives in Hartford Illinois, not far from St Louis. Sorry Brett, it may be too much of a hike for you. Or, maybe road trips are your thing. I've driven that far for chips before. (y) :thumbsup:
 
I'd probably still make the drive if we end up being able to reach a deal for everything. That should be about a 4 hour drive for me.

I already drive about 3 hours to play live poker in a casino and there are a few around St. Louis, so two birds :cool:

We'll see though, I'm in the most fun stage of chip buying from non-PCF people, waiting :unsure:

I sent Gary an email about what appear to be teal & green Paulson solid roulette hotstamp chips in the last photo. If someone here does buy the whole lot, I'd like to call dibs on those chips.

I sent an email last night letting him know what I was interested in. He responded already. Now if someone comes in and scoops these up I would like an opportunity to purchase some.
 
I would be interested in some of the Starburst chips if one of you ends up with the whole lot.
 
I'm having second thoughts about this already based on some of the messages I'm receiving, but I'll be as transparent as possible.

I'm interested in EVERYTHING he has. All chips, all racks, all lammers/buttons/spacers/etc. Part of the appeal is getting the entire lot, and the less stuff I would get, the less sense it makes to drive out there to get it. It's over 8 hours round trip, cost of gas and travel, etc.

I have no idea who contacted him when and for what (aside from what people are already calling dibs on, and I have no way of knowing when this happened) but obviously I have some interest in this stuff for myself otherwise I wouldn't have offered to drive out there and pay cash for it.

IF I somehow end up with the entire lot, I can't promise I won't want to keep some of the same things that other people contacted him about buying.

If he pieces this lot out before I can get to it, my interest level goes way down and there's a bunch of chips/items that he may get stuck with or may never make their way to PCF.

It's obviously fair game for anyone to get when it's published online, I just want to make it known that I had intended to buy it all and I can't make any guarantees regarding what I'd get, keep or sell. My intent is not to scoop things that others have already made the intent to purchase, but please understand that many sellers prefer to deal with everything sold to one person, especially when they can take cash in hand and not have to deal with online payments or shipping.

I probably didn't even need to post this and you probably didn't need to read it, so carry on!
 
I apologize if this thread causes any contention between people - certainly not my intention. I've learned the hard way that dealing with a seller outside of PCF is almost always going to revolve around the most convenient option for them. Maybe he/she needs money for an emergency, or maybe they just need shit out of their house. I can tell you that Gary preferred a cash transaction in person, but I essentially told him that I could get everything sold for him if he loosened up with that. I even convinced him to create a PayPal account just to accommodate the potential volume of transactions coming his way. Calling dibs in this case is tricky, especially in a situation where there are thousands of pieces (both chips and non-chips) that are to be diced out.

In a perfect world, Gary would be on top of everything in order and sell/ship accordingly to the people who reserve them. Unfortunately, he's probably getting around to emails later, scanning them to look for split vs whole lot offers, along with pickup/cash options. I don't fault anyone for feeling like they may be missing out, but when dealing with amateur sellers online, accommodating them is the best way to increase the likelihood of landing the goods.

No contention here. I just made a simple statement. If for some reason I do not get these it would not be the first time. I made my statement to let the potential buyer know I would like the chance to buy them. If it was taken another way then they misread. Life is much bigger than missing out in a few chips. All of you get your panties out of a wad!! LOL

David, we all know you are too good of a guy to be susceptible to contention. I was actually contacted by multiple PCF folks who were interested, and I'm sure Gary heard from many more than I did. I didn't want anyone feeling jerked around, so I feel bad if anyone did/does if Gary bucks the response order and just chooses the most convenient option for him.

He replied to my message with a phone# saying to call him this afternoon. I've called twice in the appointed hour and got voice mail. Also no response to a follow up email.

I'm gonna worry about this deal for another 3-4 minutes, then I'm done.

I still haven't heard back, but I'm hopeful.

I'm not worried about it, if it happens it happens. If I don't hear back tonight I won't be able to make the trip until next Friday, and I don't expect everything to still be there by then.
 
I spoke with Gary on the phone last night and made him an offer on everything he has. He told me he would get back to me tonight with his decision.

He was a nice guy, very upfront about what he has and that there has been a lot of interest in it. He also mentioned it was in his best interest to get rid of everything and that may take priority over piecing it out to individuals (but this is something we already knew.)

I'm hoping it was enough of an offer and that it'll make his life easier to pick everything up in person, but we will see. The number I put out is the best I can do, so if someone else is willing to travel and can put a higher price tag on it then so be it!
