2016 PCF GROUP Trip report (3 Viewers)

Best of luck and definitely try to keep up your sleep. Vegas makes it so easy to lose money all sleep deprived.

GL Paulo! Keep us posted.

I'll shoot you a PM sometime this week to pick your brain about the tournament as I'm playing the $1,500 NLHE on the 18th.

Registered... Now to the Hash House for some fuel...

I'm just out...

I was chiping up nicely, up to 20K playing just solid... Raised with 33 two callers... Flop comes A63hh... I bet one fold and one call... Turn is a J, I bet he calls... River is a 4 I bet the guys shoves I call... He flips 57hh... I'm almost puking... The guy had me covered by 800 chips...

Brutal

After thinking about the hand, and still fuming, I think it's a fold...

He never has bigger sets there and just call/call/call with two hearts on the board... he doesn't shove AJ as well after I fire 4 bullets I don't think, but maybe...

The hand the guy had, 75hh in my mind, is the only hand he can have that beats me, but also the only hand he shoves there... I would have still around 8K and alive... I should have folded...

All I could think is that if I double up there, I'm cashing the event...

Gotta get better at poker... That's all...

Don't beat yourself up too much on this one. I agree that it's probably a fold, but it's hard to put him on 5h7h or 2h5h specifically. Very tough to get away from your hand there.

One other thing I was thinking was the A one of the heats? If not then you could add Ah4h to his hand range which moves it closer to a call than a fold.

Agree 100% Bill... And yeah, it was the A of hearts on the flop... even with 57hh it's a razor thin turn call for the guy and his 7 high flush might not be good...

But so be it man... Living and learning...

Uh, and how about some more live stack photos next time haha. :)

Quick trip report:

Had a blast. Played poorly early in cash games and ran bad in Colossus. KK vs AQ looking good at turn with Q63T board. I go all in at turn and called by the AQ. River Q seals my fate. First wsop event last all of 22 minutes. Setting the bar low.

Played a ton of O8. Like 3 straight days. Was bummed to learn that the game has left the Venetian and ended up at the Orleans. Chips suck there but it was close to RIO and hard to beat a $3 Vegas rake.

Overall played at RIO, Orleans, Venetian, Wynn, Sams Town. Harvesting took me to ST, silver sevens and Paris. Oh and spinettis of course. Spent a lot of time with @ChaosRock a d couldn't be luckier in that regard. For those that know him, you know what I mean. For those that don't, well, you are missing out on a chipper who defines class and has the kind of spirit that embodies good character through and through. Not to mention he's a ton of fun to be around. Worst luck ever on that river 4.

Harvest numbers: all $1 chips unless otw stated.
Silver seven: 220 in need of cleaning
Sam's Town: 86. Not worth the serious effort. Way off strip.
Venetian: 5 $1s and a $2
Spinettis: 41 Montbleau and 37 Hard Rock Tahoe, uncounted Mandalay Bay large inlay. All chips nearing rack completion.
Paris: had to play craps, blackjack, roulette and let it ride without being too obvious. By the end, a few pit bosses were looking at me funny. 119 gorgeous $1 which incidentally were free because the dice were generous. Almost 500 chips in my backpack. Shit is heavy, yo.

Cheers all.

Have fun getting that beautiful harvest through the airport. Certain to come across as something that requires a closer look by security.

As for the Sam's Club, those chips are pretty sweet, and well worth the effort!

I've done it both ways. Carried 5 racks in my carry-on on the way to and from Atlanta for the Shootout. Both times I had to take them out and have them inspected.

On the way back from Vegas in March, I just checked 7 racks in my luggage for the ride home. There was a note in my suitcase saying they have been examined, but it was a bit easier. That said, I was a little nervous checking them and wondered if they'd mysteriously disappear before I got my bag back.

You should seen the Costco chips! :ROFLMAO:

I carried them. I thought about putting them in my suitcase but just couldn't do it.
