It's not necessary, since 12 is plenty of blind chips for each person (even 8 in a ten-person game is ok).

I know this thread is old but after much thought I think I found the my way of going about it

200 -$100
200 -$500

Which issues could I face here?

As long as you have enough bank to cover on your biggest night, it looks good to me.

That should work, a bank of $122,500 gives each of 10 players a $2,000 buy-in and 5 rebuys for 480 BB per player average.

8 or fewer players: 12/17
9-10 players: 8/18

Enough $100s and $500s for plenty of rebuys as the game goes on.
