Nor sure if they would be worth anything more than face value. They are in circulation but are being phased out (my understanding). Any advice or info?

Typically, Mississippi “Grand Opening” or limited edition chips like the one above are worth slightly more than face value. However, the condition of the chip will mean a lot to collectors, and this seems to be pretty worn. If you find a sharp one, I would imagine that a fiver would be worth between ~$7 - $9, but this particular one may not be worth much.
