Does anyone know these chips? I recently came across some and they appear pretty decent.

What material do they use? Website says "13.5g Casino Grade". They sell for 50c each.

I havent seen them mentioned much here (maybe I missed it). Possibly an underrated chip? Any intel is appreciated thanks.

13.5 HEAVYWEIGHT CASINO RATED CHIPS.

“Casino grade” = casino breakfast tokens, never poker chip grade.

Haha, coincidentally on Wednesday I came across a stack of these that I had gotten for a special occasion and did some destruction in case anyone wanted to know more.

I’ll be honest that I don’t mind the feel and sound. I actually though there could be a chance these were solid chips. The edges were a little too sharp in my opinion. The colors are not necessarily great. The color of these chips was supposed to be orange but it is fugly and closer to colon orange:vomit:.

I would certainly not recommend these as a set. But because of the short turnaround time and the low order minimum I could see ordering these for some one off special event like a barrel of commemoratives for a meetup etc.

I got a samples pack from them, just out of curiosity. They’re not terrible for slugged plastic chips, comparable to Poker Knights, Mint, etc., but with sharp edges, and maybe a bit softer feel. They'd be fine at 15¢/chip, but I don't know if the extra 35¢/chip is worth it for the customization, but I'm sure it is for some. I will say that the textured sticker is a nice option. I wish I had a shuffle stack, to really get a feel for them. I prefer the Monaco Casino chips I bought from Discount Poker Shop, but to customize them, I'd have to spend 25-30¢ for stickers, and all the time labelling them, so maybe they're worth exactly 50¢/chip.

Errrr... I always thought you wanted to put your best chips forward for commemorative chips. See @RainmanTrail and others.

These were from my pre-PCF days... I was using dice chips at the time. And I am not saying I would recommend it, but I could see someone reasonably doing it. It’s not out of the question. What options are there for short run chips going forward? Ceramics from ABC?

Ceramics from ABC aren't that much more expensive, but they're a much better chip, by a LOOOOOONNNGG shot.

These are the two samples I have. They dont have the sharp edges mentioned above and the color looks pretty good. I have no idea if they are from an older run, or a newer run etc.

But I got to say, I quite like them. Pity I dont have the full sample set to compare colors etc.
