the anticipation of meetup season has kept me pumped to keep coming back to PCF. Not buying/selling any more, but I love to see friends old and new keep on trucking.

I Love NJ and BearMetal!

PCF has has served as an escape from all of the stress of 2020. When everything was shut down including sports, it still allowed me to continue to be active in my hobby of collecting poker chips.
 
I Love NJ and BearMetal!

Our live home games went on hold in March of 2020 (like many others). From the onset, I wanted to make sure the return to in-person was especially positive for our group. Since March 2020, PCF has helped me upgrade my Barrington table (great tutorial @jcooper911), create 2 dealer buttons for my cash set (thanks @timinater), create a tourney set via cards mold GB (all hail @SeanGecko), create 2 more versions of DBs for the tourney set (ordered via @Himewad DBGB), create some cut cards (via @Eloe2000 GB), add on some bounty chips (from @BR Pro Poker), and create some member and champion chips (LV harvesting done by @casinochipper22 and labels by @Gear).

While all these pieces will be a part of the cash and tourney sets our group will play with, all the extras will be given out to our players as gifts and awards in our first live game back scheduled for July.

Without PCF, I’m not sure all this would be possible. So…thanks…I think (?) :unsure: to all the members on the forum - whether I’ve interacted with you or not!

Oh yeah, and @TX_Golf_N_Poker graciously invited me to his online Texas Flood Poker Club. Nice little setup he has there.

Thanks for the giveaway @BearMetal and making me give some overdue thanks to those called out above.
 
I want to thank everyone for the great stories about how PCF has helped you get through the last year of the apocalypse. Now, onto the good stuff... here's the official drawing for a seat at the table. The NLHE hand will be played tomorrow. I will post updates with pictures here once everything is setup!

Mixed emotions. I missed the notification yesterday to see I made the cut so I was excited to see this. Now I see horrible off suit crap cards. Literally the worst hand on the table. But last night crappy boards ran all night in our home game and I did well playing crap hands. Crap flop… let’s see it!

In the last year, PCF has provided me with a distraction (from the pandemic, from losing my job, and from my new job). It has provided common ground to reinforce existing friendships and help develop new ones. It has also taught me to make sure I have the nuts (not second nuts, behind and drawing to a chip) when playing PLO in Tampa card rooms.

I posted that I love NJ, like the rules require, but I am am not agreeing with the sensentiment. "NJ" makes me think of the Devil's, and I'm NOT rooting for them. But as for the state, the truth is, I haven't spent much time there... Just driving through and one trip to AC. I'm not a fan of Bon Jovi or the Boss, but I have a feeling I'd like NJ as a state if I spent some time there...

NJ gets a bad rap; most people only see us as they fly into Newark and then drive elsewhere, looking at the industrial wasteland that is the turnpike along the way. But the Garden State is just that - full of crazy farms and beautiful nature. I live next to 2 different farms and winery - something most people are surprised to hear when they think NJ. I've been here for most of my life, and although I can see myself moving away in retirement, it's been a great place to grow up and to raise my own kids.

No overs have paired that Queen, making @Pippa's Jiggities still good, but the flop provides a flush for @jpietrella and some backdoor flush draws for @DZPoker and @liftapint. @BPTDirector and @liftapint both spike and 8 but not much else.
