In!

I've been to Sweden a few times traveling to visit family in Finland. Absolutely love the atmosphere around Sweden and Finland. I wish I had stories of visiting Sweden on a regular basis. My dad has all those stories in his head. Those were the days he was traveling around from Finland to Sweden, Norway, the UK, Germany and a few other places. He was everywhere at one point in the early 90s/late 90s. Making trips basically every week or every other week. He does have some hilarious skiing stories with co-workers he was staying with in Sweden though. Whenever he tells me those stories I can't stop laughing because I could only imagine being there when it happened. He's an absolute legend!

I owned the Swedish National Team for a Calcutta during the 2018 WC. They made me decent money.

In, we just stayed and toured in Stockholm last week. Beautiful city, although this time of year it was pretty hot! The AC wasn’t working in our hotel so we’ll remember that part of the visit always!!

I read the "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" Series and watched the Swedish version of the movies. Does that count? :ROFLMAO:

I was working in the process of my 3rd poker table build. As this was #3, I was already aware that table legs were the most expensive part of a build, and the one thing I simply couldn't "just build". However, IKEA sells tables that are quite affordable, so I simply bought the tables for the legs.

Red Table legs by IKEA

The table tops were repurposed as shelves in my game library for some time, until our game collection grew to the point that we needed bookshelves on wheels (I also have that nerdy thing about me and when if I find something that really interests me, I go all-in). Today the pure white table-tops are used as a backdrop when I take chip photos...

All that white - made in Sweden.

My grandparents were from Ahus and I was an exchange student in Osby when I was 16 (1982)
The thing I remember is all the cool trucks that kids at that age were driving around. To those unfamiliar, there was a loophole (not sure if it still exists) whereby a 16-year-old could drive legally, as long as it was in a “farm vehicle”…so as long as the truck had a triangular sign in the back and the top gears were blocked out, they could drive.
Some of these trucks, known as A-traktors, were modified things of beauty.

How cool! A-traktors are still very much a thing. Rarely do one see such cool looking ones though. It’s usually something like this, filled with teenagers accompanied by a sub base that could raise the dead:

In! BCC are the best and I've always wanted a sample of the Mardi Gras chips.

I dated a Norwegian foreign exchange student in high school and her bestie was a Swedish foreign exchange student so we spent a good amount of time together that year. God bless Scandinavian women.

In! Just this morning my daughter said can we go to the furniture store and immediately both my wife and I said, "Ikea?" She didn't get to go today but we are planning a trip there for her soon. She loves the kid's section.

Grats on 5K!!

Registration to enter is open for 24 hours. Assuming there is enough interest, I will then randomly select 20 contestants among them.

To enter you must post ”IN” together with some kind of interaction you’ve had with something/someone Swedish (chatting with me or other Swedish members on here doesn’t count). Could be that you visited here, had meatballs at Ikea, that you drive a Volvo or are an Ingmar Bergman fan (for some reason). Or whatever you can think of. Swedish members wanting to enter can simply put ”Ja för helvete!”
IN … ummmm ... Swedish chicks are hot? Does that count?

In. We had a foreign exchange student my junior year that was from Sweden. Got to know her over the year and she was my prom date.

I too just started on a binge of forcing myself to run more in addition to work outs. Feel free to include me in your pm groups, I have no distance goal, just that I like to keep my miles under 10 minutes. Well and we have a beach vacation this year so I suppose a goal would be to tone up a bit for that.
I love these BCC chippies, but I stopped eating candy for the most part several years ago... so no Swedish fish entry points...however Ben has a very large collection of vodkas, including both Svedka and Absolut, which says imported from Sweden...

Thank you for the kind words! Same goes for you, I always love the good old Ben books

In please.

I was going to go with “Swedish girls are hot,” but I was beaten to it. Instead, I’ll go with a slightly embarrassing admission: I actually like several Ace of Base songs, including The Sign:
