Cash Game 725 piece cash game set changes (1 Viewer)

Hi all, first post!

I picked up a used Monaco Casino 725 piece set today from Craigslist for a great deal- $85. But a few of the denoms are a bit superfluous. I’m wondering if I should purchase a few more of a particular denom to make things easier for my games.

We tend to play 0.25/0.5, $50 buy-in, with multiple rebuys, and 8-10 players per game. I know it’s sacrilege, but our players like using both a 0.25 and 0.5 chips. Lots of limps but occasionally pots get very splashy.

Anyway, this is the breakdown of the set I got:

25c: 74
50c: 75
$1: 150
$5: 150
$10: 75
$25: 100
$50: 50
$100: 50

I likely wouldn’t use the $10 and $50. I’d like to have the set be used for anything .25/.5 to 1/2. If that’s the case, any alterations you recommend? Thanks and excited to be here!

You've got 200 semi-useless chips: the 0.50, 10, and 50. Unfortunately you will probably need the 0.50 since you have so few 0.25.

Agreed, but for $85, well done!

Alterations, I'd just buy another rack of $1s and $5s, then delete your account here. You'll have better chips than all your friends and generally be happier.

You're good here. Ditch the quarters and just run $.50/$.50 you have plenty for that. If your crew is going to revolt then I guess give them each 8 quarters but it's silly they just don't realize it yet

If you want to plus up, get another rack of fives.

You can run with or without the $10/$50 as is. Personally I'd leave them out.
