It’s been 20 years now but I was just reminded of my first custom chip adventure. I got married in Vegas in 2003 and during my visit there stumbled into the Luxor and was immediately enamored by the first ceramic chips I had ever seen. Yeah, I know, clay is king, but back then the unique feel and sound of those chips was intriguing. Upon my return I began seeking a way to acquire a set. I found homepokerchips.com, a vendor that could supply custom Chipco chips @ around a dollar each. Next I happened across a flaming spade inlay mockup for a Paulson set, then selling for .60 per(what a dumbass I was) and sent it to them and had artwork made for the Chipco’s. About a two month wait, $1000 spent and the chips arrived. Man was I excited! I rushed home to find a good sized box of my prized chippies. After taking them out and handling them I began to notice a ver alarming defect, small whit dots on the faces of many chips(154 of 1100). Totally blown away by this I frantically contacted homepokerchips and they asked me to submit photos. Upon sending photos they got Chipco to re print chips to make my order whole again. I forgot all about this and have had zero problems, until today. Here is a photo of my reminder. Now I’m worried about this beginning to occur, or just a chip I had not found yet which is possible I guess, but not probable. Note the white dot I found. Bummed…

After 20 years there is no hope of getting a reprint from Chipco, at least not a real match on a linen Chipco blank. I would think those were printing errors at the time, not some weird problem that has developed over time.

Hopefully it's only 1 or 2 that were originally missed, if so you could live with that, adds a little character (or trigger your OCD... whichever).

BPT with OCD? OMG!

It appears that during manufacture, there wasn’t good contact between the printed paper substrate and the blank chip, like a bubble. That would explain the ink not transferring in that spot.
Like @TheBigTater mentioned, I don’t think it’s something that will happen over time, rather it was that way all along. Casino Chipcos have shown that wear happens slowly and needs a LOT of use to occur.

I will also say this. The newer GameOn ChipCo chips aren't the same compared to the OG ones. They're thinner, more rounded edges and just so different to me.

I'd be more concerned about the burn mark on the speed cloth
