If you change sets now how will you catch him in the act?
Case in point you can currently get a barrel of $100 for $70. https://www.apachepokerchips.com/product/barrel-of-indiana-grand-100-paulson-poker-chips/While I personally love the Indiana Grand chips and would hate to discourage you from grabbing a set, this won’t vastly improve your game security. Those chips were/are still widely available. If people are sneaking chips into your game and cashing them out, they can easily find these chips for under face value online.
If you do decide to go after an Indiana Grand set, I’d encourage you to shop around or even post a WTB ad in the classifieds to try and find a more competitive price. I just picked up a set in the classifieds a few days ago.
Another option not exactly discussed, is the @detroitdad method. Buy a set or two from the classifieds. After felting them each a few times, sell the current sets and buy different sets.
You may lose a little in transactions and shipping, but it would greatly discourage counterfeits and give you time on the CPC production.
TBH you didn’t really answer the questions, and I’m still curious:
How certain are you about who introduced the extra chips?
If very certain, are you going to try to collect? How would one approach that?
Or is it just a loss, and he just never plays at your game again?
What if he’s at your table in another game?
Also, you mentioned an “APB” being out to other games. Do you mean that other hosts have been alerted to watch out for the presumed cul
We have no idea who it was. I can only narrow it down. I only know my people, we all do very well and cheating literally wouldn't be worth our time.
As far as the non-regulars, maybe see the twice a month or so. I know it's not the 3 other's that split the loss.
If caught again it won't be the host, he has to worry about. We have a Chief, Captain and DA that play in the game.
There are guys who occasionally "bring a buddy." 2 other regular Host now know to watch out. They were part of the original game also.

Hard to have too many chips on the table. I had about 1,000 total checks in play last game and it was awesome. Players love sitting behind big stacks.
You already contradicted yourself by putting 100s into play so clearly you do know. Cut the crap.In my one-table 2/5 game, 500 $5s and 300 $25s are plenty. In my last game I did have to dig into several barrels of $100s, but have not yet touched the $500s.

"Cutting down the denoms to 25 at the highest doesn't work. It's just too many chips on the table. Anyone playing at this level knows that."
Why are you selectively clipping what I said? Want to make an argument out of nothing?

@toothpic Why do you have to post pics that have nothing to do with the topic and just feed into the "more chips" circle jerk?
You wonder why new members don't stick around or seem to post very often? Their threads get derailed by this circus so we just talk to each other in PM.
Your first sentence in this quote comes off very snarky. Thats okay, its a free country, but you cant say that everyone at that level agrees with you, then get offended when someone at that level disagrees with you. Take deep breaths.Cutting down the denoms to 25 at the highest doesn't work. It's just too many chips on the table. Anyone playing at this level knows that.

You can always make more money. A really good chip set has a better rate of return in my opinionListen, you all have been a tremendous help. Let’s not get off topic.
So last night game went great! No we didn’t find the Culprit or culprits. We tried the 2hr break and I must say it was a game changer. We didn’t have nearly as many players get up from the table to smoke, get another beverage or take a leak. We had a timer up on the screen. We let 1 guy leave early after a $2800 hand. We all knew him and agreed. People who previously Had trouble arriving on time could now handle their business or get something to eat, whatever. Worked great for the first time. We are playing around with some software last night able to essentially run a scheduling software. We kept an eye on the chips pretty close throughout the night. The break also gave us a clear table to get a good look at everyone’s stacks before break. Buddy brought a Monte Carlo set this time. Which I see you can grab for $.20 a chip ! He has 2 more sets that you can just order singles ezpz. We agreed useless against a rat. I would just carry a pocket full of the most common house chips and hope to Play the odds.
I’m going to keep combing through to see what I can get here. So many people have reached out with kind words and support. Thank you truly a happy accident I stumbled upon this community. P.S. you all are going to cost me more than that rat did!
Oh, 100%. I came here cause I wanted numbers on my chips, now I'm building a 3rd full set. It's just a garbage place full of enablers. Good luck on the felt.P.S. you all are going to cost me more than that rat did!
I just saw these in the classifieds here. Maybe it would suit your needs. Nice price too.

Kinda like the eyes on a potatoHot Stamping is a easy way to make something pretty dang hard to replicate. It wouldn't be easy to recreate someone's stamp also. Everyone is a little different.
Mah potato!
I assumed that's how everyone in Idaho looked.
