I was thinking about this when I visited Claysmith Gamings site this week. I think they mentioned that their Milano is the "first" in a series of chips they are planning.

Got me thinking. Any new designs in the works by any vendors? Any new molds?

The Majestics were the last one I can think of.

China Clays I know are Milanos, Majestics, Pharoahs, Great Wall and Great Pyramid.

China Clays I know are Milanos (stitch), Majestics (crown), Pharoahs (pharaoh's), Great Wall (greek key or reverse-L) and Great Pyramid (spirit).

plus CPS (tower & spear), Dunes (Dunes), Desert Palms (Desert Palms), TAB mold, reverse-S/scroll, greek key/reverse-J, and at least three others (too lazy to go looking for them).

Fourteen different molds is a lot.

Are these all basically made by the same factory or several different ones?

Manufactured in at least two different factories, maybe more. In addition, the material composition is different (arguably superior) for tower & spear and greek key/reverse-L chips. The Pharaoh's, Dunes, Desert Palms, and reverse-S/scroll all share the same manufacturer/materials.

Spirit mold. First of the china clays, produced by Eastony Industries. The mold marking is their corporate logo, which was once described on their web site as a spirit sign (it's also sort of a reversed Sprint corporate logo, hence the misnomer). They refer to it now as the Aurora line.

Was initially used by Da Vinci for two labeled sets: Casino da Vinci, and Pyramid Casino. Blanks were made available later on, with several different spot configurations (including solids, like the above pic). They are very hard to find online today, with most offerings sold out.

Again, you are an endless font of knowledge.

Are PalmGaming and Poker Chip Loungs related sites? I got samples of Great Wall and Great Pyramid from PCL. Are these the same mold as Greek Key? These chips have more squared edges than the Milano/Majestic/Pharoah. You can stand these on edge.

Poker Chip Lounge is an authorized reseller for Palm Gaming products. They give them pretty names and charge a big markup.

The "great wall' chips are PGI china clays on the greek key/reverse-L mold with custom labels (also produced by PGI, I think). Not sure about the 'great pyramid' chips, without seeing a pic or going to the PCL web site.

I mistakenly thought you were previously speaking of the Pyramid Casino chips, which are on the spirit mold.

The Great Pyramids are on the same mold as the Great Wall - just different edge spots. Eight triangles around the edge. PGI sells it too under the PGI 8V name. The only PGI mold that Poker Chip Lounge doesn't sell is the Tower and Spear.
