Anyone Own/Buy Gutshot Gaming Poker Table (Folding with Dealer Tray) (13 Viewers)

I've seen some concern about the thickness of Triton/Gutshot mats making picking up cards difficult for some. requiring pushing down on the back edge to lift the card. This worries me, and I really like the feel of foam under a felt, both for ease of picking up/shuffling cards, and also for how chips interact with the table with vs without.

I wonder if it would be possible to adhere a thin layer of foam to the table surface in two halves to still faciliate the folding feature, for the included mat (or a custom one) to rest on? I can't think of a reason why not (other than the seam created being too much for a topper to overcome), but just wanted to see if anyone else has tried or thought about this type of modification?

Maybe attaching a thin layer of foam backing to the topper itself in one piece would solve the creasing issue, but not sure how it would stand up to being rolled up and stored over and over. I have heard of folks simply laying one of @rjdev7 's custom toppers on top of the included topper to increase the thickness, that might just be the best of all worlds.
Never had an issue picking up cards on either Triton table (I’ve played on both)

As a reminder, the Triton tables fold in half, which I don’t believe is an option for Gorilla tables. Just an fyi especially if you have less space to have a table laying out there.

Table is such a commitment, nervous to make wrong choice from Triton to gorilla to ......
I have gorilla’s most basic table, with cupholders as the only upgrade. It feels pretty luxurious to me. So I would tell you hell yes!
And if you can drive down to providence to pick it up yourself, they’ll knock the shipping charges off - you’ll save at least another $200 or $250.

Okay sounds great. Doesn't feel like a cheap folding table? I just want a table when I have the guys over that doesn't scream cheap looking folding wobbly table. I want us to feel like you said luxurious, like wow great looking table with that custom felt from @rjdev7 , ha ha Fits 10 people if needed somewhat comfortably? lastly, rail built so you could sneak some LED's under there like some guys do for $40 from Amazon? Free shipping it says right now! Thanks for all this info

No I got the pub table, which was made to seat 8, and 8 could be right, depending on how big your players are. So I can’t speak to that.
But luxurious, like, great rail, not wobbly, basic speedcloth playing surface somehow feels amazing (not to mention heavy as hell,) yes!.
I dunno about your LEDs, unless you’re getting a raised rail.

The triton doesn’t fit 10 comfy but the gorilla will.

Ok, I might be sold on Gorilla home table 96x45 (+$80) the extra $80 gets you the extra 11 inches length from 85x45 standard model. If that 96 Inch gorilla fits 10 more comfortably than triton 90x48 then I’m 99% in until someone else changes my mind ha ha. I just have to confirm @rjdve7 can make custom toppers for the 96x45 table before I buy. Thanks for all great info and help gang

Two thoughts:

Those full size tables are really heavy. I ended up just resting a similar sized table against my wall vs hang on the wall. It gets pretty awkward with the full size to lift as well.

My only other comment is BBO normally do holiday sales (like memorial day etc), don’t think Gorilla do as often.

Man now you got me looking at BBO. Quality compared to gorilla?

I can’t really give you a balanced answer. Not played on a gorilla, and when I did a LOT of research, couldn’t find any real negatives in quality. It really came down to price/cost for me as this was a BIG step up from my cheapy folding table.

If it was closer, likely would’ve went Gorilla since I spent so much time on their build tool plus they had the ellipse table shape that’s been recommended. If budget wasn’t a consideration, then I would of went @T_Chan - but that build for what I’d want was even more than Gorilla.

If it’s in your budget, I don’t think you’d regret Gorilla based on all the forum reviews here.

I have a very dumb question, i picked this table up and before it gets delivered i was hoping to modify a shuffletech on it, do you know if there is room under neath for the shuffletech? Not sure if the Gorilla legs would be in the way.
