Apache 3800 on sale (1 Viewer)

I was debating between that and the 4800 for $30, tough choice but the wheels sold me. Now I just gotta figure out the best way to pack this bad larry.

I have 3800 4800 and 5800. If you fill a 4800 with 1000+ chips it’s too damn heavy to carry around. The wheels make it worth it, even if the handle is a little flimsy

You’ll also find that the 5800 is deeper than the 4800 and so it allows 43mm 3 racks high or two barrels deep which is how I did it.

Also I love that the 5800 doesn’t have the side clips that the 4800 has which always get in the way. The 5800 is prob not worth double the price but with the coupon it’s a snap buy

Ooo I like the layout. That just made me feel a lot better about my decision, thank you! The weight was my biggest concern, I figured an extra 20 bucks to not have to lug a bunch of weight around was worth it.

I don’t host so I always have to carry my chips around. Rolling wheels are definitely worth it.

I’m actually thinking about buying one of those foldable dolly’s to lug chips around

I bought an Apache 4800 last year and it’s an excellent case. They are a lot more expensive here in Canada but Amazon will randomly have them for about $125 cad if you’re not too fussed about colour. Might seem expensive but I think it’s a good price considering poker chip cases might cost you $150 and are way les durable

I was in your town last year, passing through to Merrit for work. I would have brought some with me if I knew. Save a few sheckles.

You all think 3800 with 1000 chips be too heavy to carry?
Depends how far you have to go. I’ve got 650 pharaoh Chan clays in my 4800 right now and it’s getting pretty heavy. When I was doing research a saw lots of recommendations to split 1,000 into two cases but it can be done in one case I think

I bought a folding dolly to cart chips around. One of the games I play doesn’t have close parking so the dolly makes it so much easier than carrying them.

Let's put it this way: I'd rather carry two carriers with 500 chips each than one carrier with 1000.
To this point, I recently finished filling up
my case and 1,000 chips and a handful of cards weighs a ton. Wouldn’t call it a travel case anymore but a cement block lol. It can be moved around but very very heavy. So yes, probably better to have two 500’s, especially because the cases aren’t terribly expensive

That’s why I got the 5800. The case is so heavy, but the wheels definitely help.
