So, I may have over oiled the CPS chips I have. Applying a little too much oil to the edges and faces and letting them sit overnight makes the chip look fantastic but some of the oil seeped underneath so the labels are slipping.

After gently removing the label without damaging it, I easily dry the chip but the adhesive isn't strong enough to put it back on the chip.

Is there some kind of light glue I can put on the chip to make the label adhere again?

Lesson learned. Little oil goes a long way, and always wipe of excess oil :)

I would try a glue stick first and see how that works. Use stronger stuff if needed. Or get some custom labels.

If it comes to it, you can always buy more CPS labels from Palm Gaming. 5c each, I think.

I sent an email to PGI asking about new CPS labels.

In the meantime, I will head to the craft store and try some different adhesives. If that does not work, good old staple gun to the rescue!!

(Note; just kidding ;))

You don't go to craft stores!

Had a few labels fall off and reapplied them with an Elmers glue stick and haven't had any issues with them since.

**EDIT** I should add that when the label fell off I noticed the chip seemed to be very dusty underneath so I wiped it down before I applied the glue and relabeled.

Yeah I actually ended up taking off 200 labels and cleaning underneath the chip and reapplying a lot of them. Most of them adhered just fine but a few lost a lot of their gooey sticky goodness.

Did you ever figure out if PGI still sells labels for CPS chips?
