Are you a cheater if you look for exposed cards? (1 Viewer)

Don't care for them. I like how the player with the shades on says that he likes them because when he is playing in poor light, it makes it easier to see...so does taking off your shades. That would be a nice change for TV poker...no sunglasses.

In this discussion of four color decks, one pro, O'dwyer, says that if you look for exposed cards, you're a cheater.
I was surprised to read that. I feel like if I don't watch all the cards and take note of anything I see, then I'm the fool.
What do you think?

Technically he did not say that looking for exposed cards makes you a cheater. He said 4 color decks makes it easier for cheaters to track exposed cards. Maybe the interpretation is the same to some, but I think he's saying that 4 color decks are easier to catalog to the cheaters mind for subsequent angle shooting and/or decision making. I don't see how this makes anyone a cheater, at all. Limon has openly stated that if you're not seeing another players card(s) x times during a session then you are not paying attention.

I usually point to someone away from the table and say "Look, is that Phil Ivey?". When everyone looks away, I reach over to my neighbors cards and take a peek. Doesn't matter if the cards are two colors or four to me (y)
