Collecting (ordering closed) Aria's Tribute Cards Mold Group Buy #3 (5 Viewers)

Quite hard to say. I'm in a private thread with other organizers of different phases of this buy. One person said 3-4 months. It might be on the shorter end of that because artwork prep should already be underway on their end.

@nlhenerd
You had said that the order was going in last fri 9/10 and that you would confirm here in this thread once that was done.

Could you give us an update please?

Top of first post has status. In case you want gory details….

My credit union doesn’t do international wire transfers, so I moved the money to a bigger bank. That bank couldn’t recognize the SWIFT number provided by the vendor. I got domestic (USA) wire info for their US bank (wish I knew this was an option earlier) and setup a small wire first to verify I have the right account. That should go through today, then I send the rest of the money late tonight hopefully (China’s day time)

TL;DR- you know when you’re checking out and you have the final total including shipping and you still need to enter your credit card info? I don’t get that UI when placing an order like this, but that’s effectively where I’m at.

That doesn't really tell us anything at all...
From the top of post #1:
Schedule Update: Orders are really closed. All payments are in and those who haven't paid have been removed from the order. The wire transfer is in progress.

How does that not tell you the status?

You guys need to understand - This is a LONG and SLOW process. Updates from Tina a few and far between, and due to language barrier are often unclear. When we are awake, they are asleep, and vice versa. So communication is slow too. Things that we might expect should take a day can take a week or more. It's going to be a minimum of 2 months, up to maybe 6 months before we see these chips in hand. Please, the constant barrage of status requests is not productive. I can promise you that within hours of getting updates from Tina, I will post them in the original thread, and I'm pretty sure the guys running GBs 2, 3 & 4 are going to be doing the same. So relax, enjoy an adult beverage, play some poker, or whatever you like to do. The chips are going to get made and they are going to be delivered to your doorstep as soon as is reasonably possible.

FYI, I don't mean to single out @Nanook here. Sorry if it looked that way bud. I'm following all these threads, plus all the ones Sean has run in the past year, so I'm just trying to get ahead of this.

Eventually Sean just got to the point where every time anyone asked him anything, he just posted his famous How the F should I know!!! meme. LOL.

There will be an extremely long lull in updates between "manufacturer shipping estimate" and "delivery in the USA." Maybe we should sell bespoke status updates during that period for 5 bucks a piece? [edit: in haiku form?]

To get ahead of this, I made a little checklist for the first post. Hope that helps.

Okay- I fixed it to say 2-3 months. I also added status update haiku on the original thread as an added service. :ROFLMAO:

In case anyone thinks this is snarky and/or upset, I'm seriously just having fun with this. I'm not (yet) burnt out on requests. I'm used to very long waits for bespoke items- especially when they come from overseas.

Well, you kinda are.... just sayin

There will be an extremely long lull in updates between "manufacturer shipping estimate" and "delivery in the USA."......
I get all this but jumping on the first guy that asks for an update a week after we were told the order would be placed without any updates seems a bit harsh

I'm glad you are having fun still.....
You did volunteer to run this, right? You have to expect that you are going to have to give an update or two along the way and answer a few questions. I get it that you don't want/need it to become burdensome, but honestly 1 request after a week at the very beginning when the order hasn't even been placed yet, doesn't seem like too much to ask.

It took a few days for me to get confirmation. With the Chinese holiday it may not be until Tuesday or so.
