Thanks @Jeevansluck, but I was too slow! Someone beat me to the punch. I am backup though.
I know man! It's a killer for sure. You see @Jeevansluck and @UnicornFlash. You hesitated. Now those beautiful ES 20's are probably getting murdered and turned into nickels for somebody's .05/.10 limit game. The horror...the horror.
There will be other chances, I'm sure.I know man! It's a killer for sure.
Im pretty messed up and going through painful withdrawals.
It sucked. I had my chances to score these goods. Had to pass a couple times..
I know I'll regret it, but my wallet needs a break.
There will be other chances, I'm sure.
I know it sounds sacrilegious, but do you have anything that's not being really put into play that you would sell?
You never know when you will need the bigger ($20/$25) chips in play. My little 25¢/25¢ pot-limit game last week had 4 racks of 25¢, 4 racks of $1 and 2 racks of $5 in play. With another buy-in, the $20s would have been in play.I'll be counting on it sir! I will trust you are correct.
The short answer is yes, followed by a no. I have actually sold off a few chips as of late, but with my sets pretty well rounded out to where I want them, I decided to go on this ban.
The ES $20, is an amazing chip. I do want it, but truly, there is no actual need. Only the disease is pushing me on. I even own 2 barrels of ES $25, and still, I persist for $20s. What a stupid sickness. Trying for chips I know I won't or can't even utilize for a set I still have not played.

Just try it one night. I never thought I would get my players to adopt cash over tournaments, but now it's like tournaments don't even exist in their brains. It's awesome.Scott, this is my dream for a home cash game. I don't have a group that even wants to play. At the end of tournaments, my players leave. There is usually just a couple of us willing to play.
I don't know how to sell the cash game.
That was the same for my group. Early on we only did $20 dollar tournaments. They felt cash games were too aggressive and expensive for them. Now they don't even want to play a tournament because it takes too long and you're left bored if you bust out so it's cash games every time.Just try it one night. It can take a long time to accomplish and sometimes you have to change out some players but it's definitely doable! We even slowly introduced PLO and bomb pots to the game. Bomb pots aren't very popular but PLO has been fun.
We used to have that issue. I started a 25/25 cash game once a month instead of a tourney. Locked the stakes at 20 dollar buyins, and slowly when people played and could lose less then 20 bucks in a night, they warmed up. Once they warmed up, took off the controls, now we're doing 50/1.00 once a month with actual stakes. Took years tho!Scott, this is my dream for a home cash game. Give them a taste of the good stuff and keep them coming back for more!
OH, if your six months in, you got plenty of time to get them hooked. Do a once a Month cash game pot luck. Serve hot dogs, make it maybe even more low key then the tourneys. Eventually even the most anti cash game guy will ask for one once and a while if they get the itchSo since it's my first 6 months into my first year of hosting poker, I need to just keep the same formula. Keep trying to sell the game.
Peruse amazing cool poker gear I got, and get them hooked on the tables and chips.
If anyone wants a rack of AS 5's that still have the original labels, I have one rack I would swap for one of these $0.25 racks.
If anyone wants two racks of AS 5's with no labels, I'd love to swap for for 2 racks of these $0.25 racks.
I've heard of these. Plastics of some kind. Colorful. Everyone is bragging about how durable they are. I'm not throwing chips against a wall, so I have no concern for this durability. My CPCs seem plenty durable.
Personally, couldn't care less. For the money, I don't find them at all enticing.
YMMV for sure
Are the Silver Stars arc yellow?
Yes, $5/chip is messed up. I'd be discouraged also and I wasn't completely happy. I've also heard about Abbiatti quite a bit now. Top notch quality and I've been looking at their stuff through an online brochure. Pretty amazing and striking colors.I do want to get a CPC set at some point too...I'm just having a really hard time coming up with chip design that I absolutely love. And trust me, I've tried. The one chip that I have designed that I would build the set around....is over $5/chip. Kinda takes the fun out of it.
Definitely arc yellow. Claim stake spot is arc yellow and it looks like it matches perfectly. AS 5 has an arc spot too. Hope these don't get milled lolWhat chip can I put them next to in order to determine this?
ES frac? That has an arc yellow spot, right?
The ES frac does have ARC YELLOW, and the ES $100What chip can I put them next to in order to determine this?

Abbiati chips, I never heard of them until now?

Time to poll for new players! Cash is where it's at!Scott, this is my dream for a home cash game. I don't have a group that even wants to play. At the end of tournaments, my players leave. There is usually just a couple of us willing to play.
