A few years ago, I started the monster harvest of Ballys before they closed. I saved myself for racks of the new fives. Went on a crusade to build a couple of racks of the old school ones with the blurple spots. I was able to find 80 of the old-school Tropicana 25s new inbox and added a barrel of sharp Dunes hundreds as well.

These were the second to last shaped inlaid clay $5 chips in Vegas

I do not believe anybody has racks of these Bally ones look at the pictures close to determine the quality while none of them are new, I would say two barrels of them are still sharp, maybe more. They were expensive to put together. With no games at my house, it’s hard to justify keeping all of these wonderful chips in the cave so I’m offering them at auction. I reserved the right to cancel the auction if there are no bids. There are absolutely no splits. If you want to work a split you can do that privately with whoever potentially wins the auction.

Breakdown
202 Bally’s 1s
402 Bally’s 5s
80 Tropicana 25s
20 Dunes 100s

Shipping to the United States only via UPS or FedEx. Buyer pays shipping that I’m capping at $25. I will require insurance, however I’m not sure what it will be we can work together on that to be honest. Payment is PayPal friends and family or cash in person.

Starting bid is $5800 USD

BEAUTIFUL set. GLWA.

In the unlikely event that the buyer wishes to sell off the non-Bally’s chips, I’d like to purchase the Tropicana $25s.

Yes, hooked on phonics. I should pay attention.
THAT made me laugh out loud! :ROFLMAO: I really have to remember to use “hooked on phonics” soon!

Seriously, we’ve all become so ADHD with the advent of having “internet in your pocket” phones. I get PO’d when I catch myself missing something (often that something isn’t even a *detail*) that I would have never missed a few years ago.

BTW, I am so So SO glad this set doesn’t include a barrel or more of matching Bally’s $25s.

I SO don’t need any more chips, but another Vegas casino set with shaped and textured inlays would likely have destroyed my resolve in a single glance.

CR@P. I just realize what I said. DON’T ANYBODY TELL ME THEY HAVE A BBL OR RACK OF BALLY’S $25s. Seriously.

Well, I don’t have any of the old school 25s. If I had a rack of those whoever was able to purchase them would have one less testicle left

Hopefully somebody gets the bug and wants these chips. I’m glad to put them back in the closet, but I sure would like to sell them. if they sell, I’m going to put another set up and they are more valuable than this set. In my opinion one type of chip that nobody knows exists really

I feel ready to proclaim that Trop house mold the greatest house mold ever, without ever having handled one.
You might be right. If not the best, certainly in the top 3.

Most of the 2nd edition Tropicanas I’ve seen and own are more worn than the $25s in this auction, and many of the worn $5s fit 21 to a bbl in a Paulson rack. However, that doesn’t seem to detract one bit from how great they look and feel on the poker table!

I can’t argue with that. I have a new barrel of the hundreds too. They are spectacular.
But the gem of this lot is the $1s. I’ve built racks from singles too. It’s a huge, expensive, time-consuming pain in the butt. But in the end, you have something that nobody else has.
