Not Mine BCC Cigar and Snifter mold chips $150 on CL (2 Viewers)

U know something I don't? I don't recall the InPlay chips being plagued with egg issues. Pics in this thread don't indicate such, either.... unless I'm just too tired to see it. It was pretty common on the flame mold (larger inlay size), and seems like the later Protege line had a few, but afaik these were all pretty round.

But yeah, inlay replacement therapy would not be feasible on chips with misshapen inlays.

I was just going by the first picture in the craigslist ad. Didn't look like a good candidate for inlay replacement :(

Yep, that one looks a bit stretched out.

Mike, have you taken a good look at these?

Inlays look pretty circular to me...

But alas, I am also very tired. I am going to sleep to dream of not being in horrible traffic..

Let me know if you guys want more sexy pr0n tomorrow.

I think there's two issues (in terms of replacing the inlays). Egg-shaped inlays would be one issue. The other issue that I see is that it looks like the inlays go right up to and just slightly over the recess edge. I think this would also make inlay replacement more difficult.

Maybe the seller just posted the worst one as the lead off picture :)

Well shit. What do you know. The green 25s look like fucking Easter... Top six are eggy and bottom is almost circular...

I'm not really seeing it in the other denoms.

Yeah I was just noticing that too. He sure did pick a bad one to show off

Found some eggs in the 100s. The inlays are completely inconsistent!

Haha, I don't care. Still a beautiful set :)

They've got character. Just not suitable for inlay replacements (which will come as a relief to many on here who might cringe at the thought of prying off the originals).

Enjoy them for what they are..... one-of-a-kind (every single chip!) individually hand-crafted pieces of art.

I wish everyone could play with this. Seems a damn shame to be in just one persons hands. Well off to bed!

Mike if you seriously want to sell let me know...might be a great first real chip set!
I will eventually sell this yes. And for exactly what I paid for as long as it goes to someone that would do the same.

I am going to play with them once just to have fun :)

But eventually I should let them go to the next chipper here because it was destiny for this set to find its way to PCF. Well, destiny or maybe just a keen eye by @derekdd23 ;)

Also, @Tracy endured the drive with me and she's a trooper! Five hours in a car with me going "fuck! More traffic!" Should earn her a few karma points.

Great score. Love the colors, and the eggs, (eh i mean inlays) are also not bad. Great idea of enjoying them for a while and then giving them up for cheapish to the next noob chipper:)

If this set starts migrating around PCF, getting played around the country, it would be cool....

And would it be the biggest sample set, EVAH?

We need to take the chips to different landmarks and monuments and take pictures. Like its touring the country :)

Another option is I could actually break it into like 60 sample sets for everyone.

I have some 50¢, $1 and $2. Would love to get my hands on more .50 and some .25. Never been played and still pretty chalky.

Little late to the thread, sorry. What a steal!! I remember when these were readily available from Sidepot several years ago. Got a sample set and was close to pulling the trigger but ended up going in a different direction. Beautiful colors and spots, and a great feel. Enjoy Mike!! Love the road trip to get them and the sentiments expressed in this thread.

It would be cool to think of a single set that travels from chipper to chipper. The box could travel with a list of every chipper that had the set in their possession, and their location.

Kind of like that little card in a library book when you would check it out (at least that's how they used to check out books, it's been awhile since I've read anything that wasn't on Kindle).

a great idea, but sooner or later, they will be "lost" somewhere in the mail ...
I think it is best to find a new owner, who will cherish them and cares .. ..

I am a bit concerned about your unhealthy dietary choices of cereal w/milk and a coke.

Good pick up on the chips ;)

It is okay to make some $ for your time and effort, we are not communists.
