Much looser than the game you went to lol. Some of the shit I see here is downright agregious. Sucks to be on the bad side of some of the beats lol.+1 solid group of players and it does play quite loose

At the moment its only Saturdays. Start time between 7pm and 9pm depending on when people can show up. We play until the game breaks. Usually between 2 and 3 am.What days/nights do you guys usually play? Andover is a bit of a drive but might be doable depending on the day/night.
Just holdem, or other games? So Bean Town Poker Room might be making a come back around early Summer once my entire household is fully vaccinated and more adults are fully vaccinated. As of now almost all of my household is at least done with shot #1 and waiting for shot #2. Until that time my buddy hosts games in his garage which is pretty comfortable and has enough space for 6 to 8 handed games. We pretty much have the same 5 guys and then player 6, 7, and 8 rotate among different friends. I'm opening up this game to local forum peeps. I ask that you have had at least one vaccine. He lives in Andover. If you're interesting in attending shoot me a PM. I'm leaving a few game details below but can give you more info in PMs.
Stakes are .25/.50 - .50/1$ or $1/$1. Regardless of stakes the game pretty much always plays like a small 1/2 game. Buyin is $100 max with 1/2 big stack after one hour. And for the $1/$1 games we sometimes do $200 max but we normally play fractional games. Pretty loose play, and it's a bunch of guys who have known each other a long time so the atmosphere is that of friends of are always talking shit to each other but with love . I bring my Shuffletech and we usually use my chips, but guest sets are welcome!

Pretty much always NLH with this crowd. We've done some PLo and other mixed games and shit gets wild and someone gets stacked and has their feelings hurt lmao. So we tend to keep it to NLH for that reason.Just holdem, or other games?
I'm 2 shots deep as of 10 days ago. I'm going crazy for some live poker - eyeing the NH tournaments.
I'm single vaxxed and playing so you're good. My second dose is mid May, but most people are good about masks. We also usually crack open the window or back door to let fresh air in.You guys ever tourney-up? I doubt you'd want me over there before I'm double-vaxxed, but just fishing for information!
Tourneys are rare. We played a little pre cash turbo this past weekend. Nothing long though. You guys ever tourney-up? I doubt you'd want me over there before I'm double-vaxxed, but just fishing for information!
How did you like the custom cards?Really happy with some of the custom stuff that I've been working on. The table was designed around Boston Sports (duh) and so with that I paid homage and named the room Bean Town Poker. Kaimat sold me some sweet mint CPCs that I relabeled. ABC hooked it up with dealer buttons, Gear the labels, and I used makeplayingcards.com to customize the plastic playing cards. Tourney set is in the works using the Royals Apache just sold. ABC is making me some labels and also a sweet custom Plaque that Timinator helped design! Big, big thank you to all the wonderful members who had a hand in this and have been excellent with information/advice.

Crap. Don't recommend. How did you like the custom cards?
NotedCrap. Don't recommend.
I'm really happy with my shuffletech, but I feel I'm in the minority. It's been worth every dollar to me.I wish there was access to fully customizable good quality plastic cards. Seems like that’s one of the few things this community is missing. That and maybe a decently price auto shuffler that doesn’t jam every time you use it.
This is great news and good to see Somerville holding it down. You have an awesome setup, I'd love to check it out once things get rolling. I'm in Davis square, 2 shots deep and itching to play some live poker again. So Bean Town Poker Room might be making a come back around early Summer once my entire household is fully vaccinated and more adults are fully vaccinated. Sounds good man, I'm looking forward to hosting again. I'm probably only going to hold the game open to friends/family/and PCF folks. I had a pretty large group of rotating players I used to invite but for now I'm reducing the crowd. In the meantime if you ever want to roll down to our Andover game, (setup isn't nearly as nice, but it isn't bad either) you're more than welcome to send a PM for details! This is great news and good to see Somerville holding it down.
