Not Mine Bellagio $5,000 huh? (1 Viewer)

Up to $140+
I don't see this selling for less than $500.
Some ol' timer chipper "needs" this one for his collection and the opportunity to grab it here for less than face value might be the only option!

It is a pretty cool chip. If it was obtained in a robbery, that's even cooler lol.

I was also thinking in the $500 range.

$555.55 to be exact.

But then again this one is hard to gauge. You may have that one person come along and think it's worth face value.

@WedgeRock want to wager $5 on who's closest to the hammer price?

I say we just leave it where it is and let the current high bidder take it... right? :whistling:

The delivery truck just arrived with your chip

Nah, pretty sure the bidders know they can't cash it in.

I believe the bidders believe they can cash it in. However, if the Chip has RFID and it was disabled then they would not be able to cash it in. I know they use RFID at the Bellagio for some chips and when chips go missing they disable them. If there is no RFID and a higher roller gets iy and cashed it in they might not have an issue, but if you are just a regular person with no history you might encounter some push back trying to cash it in.

Ive pretty much deduced trying to cash it will result in going to jail lol

Probably not going to Jail, but they might take the chip if you tried to cash it and you'd have spent of $550 and have nothing to show for it. The Pawn Seller either knows the chip is no good to cash which is why he says it might be expired or he doesn't want to take the risk of cashing it. If the chip was a sure thing he would of cashed it already.

Someone needs to call in and just go straight to the question of, “I found a $5,000 chip that someone must have lost. Can I cash it in?” Who’s volunteering? lol

The bidders are definitely not bidding with the intention of cashing it in...
The chances of a $5k chip coming up for sale because someone forgot to “cash it in” or it was “stolen” are very little.
Add on top of that the chances that it’s no longer accepted or has been taken out of circulation, collectors are going to be willing to pay more than normal for the opportunity to add it to their collection.
Might be 1/10 at most if even that high in the collectible chip sphere !!!

Why bid with 30 hours to go?

Just curious.

If it was for sure live, it would've been cashed in already. In fact, if the seller is really a pawn shop, the chip is not stolen. My guess is that it's no longer active and therefore can't be cashed in, but it was not part of the heist.

Nevertheless, the over on @Sprouty's line take it.
