I hate to do it, but I have no choice. I'm trying to fund a custom Fat Tire cash set, and I've got no way to do that other than selling my prized Benny's Riverside chipset. I'm breaking the set into two lots (1200 and 800 chips). If someone buys both, I'll take 5% off.

Here's the breakdown.

Asking $1970 Shipped

Asking $1300 Shipped

Total Collection

Asking $3120 Shipped

Rules/Fine Print:

I will not ship overseas.

Both lots have to be spoken for (and paid) in order for the sale to occur. Shipping will be via USPS Flat Rate Priority. Insurance is recommended, but optional (buyer's expense). However, if people have any question about how I ship chips, I started the "Nuclear-Proof Shipping" thread... See the link.

Disclaimer, the quarters are relabeled Binions $1 chips (still live), with labels (from PGI). Some of them (Maybe 10% are showing some signs of wear). I have replacement labels, and will work on replacing the more worn labels prior to shipping, but will also provide the buyer with the artwork for the relabels ($.25 and $25). Due to this, I reduced the per chip pricing for the quarters when calculating the asking price.

The $25 chips are mint Derby Gran Paulson fantasy chips, that go perfectly with the set. If you want more $25's, I am also selling a rack of Horseshoe secondary $25's, which are mint, and also go spectacularly with the set. Price is $200 for the rack (shipped), which is break even for me. See pics.

*The $100 chips is NFS.

Here are the pictures of the chips.

Thanks Trav... You have no idea the amount of restraint I am trying to show right now. @Trihonda I could use that $100 and $.50.

(y)

glws!

This was a fun set to play with. GLWS. With your packing skills why not ship overseas? It really isn't that much of a hassle and increases your potential purchasers for the set? If I can figure out how to ship over seas I know you can lol.

Great set! I did the same thing selling my Cleveland HS set to fund my CPC set. I have absolutely no regrets doing it.

Looking forward to seeing the new custom set.

Where was Benny's originally?

Also, some of the blues have different colorization in your photos. Any reason behind this? Not a deal breaker for me - my customs have different hues based on when I ordered them - just curious.

Also (sorry, asking these as they come to mind), does the right to the label artwork come with the chips so we can order more? I would need a lot more $25s (prolly 3 racks).

(Last question) Have you ever played hundos with these and if so what did you use? Any pics?

(Really last question) How many more $5s are there in the wild out there in this condition?

Last last last question - can we see the chip denoms in stacks? Height variation isn't a deal breaker either, just curious.

Not sure of the color variations. These were all harvested binions. It doesn't seem noticeable in play.

Tukwilla, WA

Yes, p5woody recreated the artwork amazingly well... I have the $.25 and $25 artwork, possibly the hundo as well somewhere on my pc. HH dogs are very rare, but the best orig match imho is the mesquite star, I'll Snap some pics of the two compared. I actually have some spare MINT mesquites (barrel maybe), that's id part with for a price.

As for stacks, these are completely level. I'll take some comparison photos later this evening.

Thanks. Any idea how many $5s were originally made available for the market after the propert closed?

Also, does the artwork rights come with the chips so we can have additional chip inlays made with Gear? Or do we have to go through p5woody for that?

They came through Jim during the glory rush. At one time on CT there was a thread that listed a bunch of quantities from his sales. Dunno where to find it or if Benny's was included on the list.

The buyer has artwork rights to have labels made. I commissioned the labels, and I know a number of other people have used the artwork (without issue) for their own add ons to the set.

As for more $5's... they exist. I've passed up on some offers here to purchase several racks that came up, because I figured 1000 $5 chips was enough for my games. :). So yes, they're out there, and they exists, but probably not in massive quantities.

I just finished up an online free roll ($50 up top). and can swing down and snag some better pics of stack heights. Etc...

Here are some better pictures of the edges.

All of the chips are square and stand on edge easily. Some of them have minor nicks.

And you'll notice that some of the labels from PGI have worn somewhat. I intend to go through and replace the most warm labels with what I have on hand. And will certainly provide the artwork for other denominations. I'm also sure that I have a supply of labels which I will include as well.

As for the height difference, I don't really notice anything significant.

And checking my stock of labels, it appears I have way more than I thought. I have several sheets of $25 labels, a 35 label sheet of $100 labels. And at least a dozen sheets of $.25 labels. I will include these call if someone buys the entire lot.

I also I'm including a photo comparison of the original Benny's chips along with the artwork. You'll notice it's a nearly identical match and you will be hard-pressed to tell the difference.

Additionally, I am including a photo of the Mesquite*$100 chips. These are my absolute favorite $100 chips of all time, and look almost identical to the original Benny's $100 chips. The $100 Benny's chip you see is not a label, it is the original chip. The best I can tell, The only difference between the Benny's and Mesquite 100s, is that the Mesquite stars have metal flakes.

I would have to be convinced to let go of the mesquites, as these are MINT.

Just to confirm, I have no issue with the artwork being used to add to this set. If needed, just let me know and I can send the original artwork files.

I'm not sure how much I'd come down on price.. however, as it stands, there's a lot of "oooh, these are awesome", but not a lot of "I'll PM you with an offer". With that in mind, I'd entertain reasonable offers. I know this is a bad time to sell, the chip market is flooded with horsehoes and the like, and many potential buyers have exhausted their chip spending budgets...

I do want to get my CPC set made, and even if these Benny's sold for more than I'm asking, I'd be trading an epic set of 2000 sweet Paulson chips for a 1200 set of CPC chips... I'm also keeping in mind that Paulsons rarely decrease much in value, whereas the CPC sets typically do. I know this is -EV on the monetary investment sense, but I don't care. :)

Hoping these sell, but not afraid to keep them in the stable and wait for the eventual lottery win.

Because it sucks. More paperwork, higher costs, USPS can't guarantee delivery since it changes hands to other couriers plus international shippers like FedEx are much costlier than US flat rate international shipping. The risk of lost/damaged in transit is much higher. Often buyers want the cheapest shipping (USPS international) which often translates to worst shipping option.

Another problem is what you write down for value. Receivers often get taxed based on value amount put on the paperwork. Noobs will often want the value to be stated as % less to avoid taxation, but they get fucked if the parcel gets lost and they try to redeem their moniez through insurance since the value was recorded as lower than it should be. As a seller, these situations can get annoying fast.

Edit: That said, I've shipped chips internationally plenty of times but I understand the headache it can introduce.
