As of last night, I have now played on both of these sets. They are both fantastic, and it makes it tough for me because I am friends with both of these guys.

Unfortunately, I didn't play long in the cash game. Flopped a set of 4s. We got it all in vs top two pair Kings and Queens. Guy rivered a Queen and that was that. Too late in the night for me to rebuy.Gotta love those peach 5s

Yep. 2 best chips of the year IMO. Both are so freaking awesome. I just love the old Vegas feel of the Cactus Pete’s. But it was still a hard choice.

My favorite thing about the Rainier Room chips for this Custom Chipset tournament is that they are truly custom. Everything was designed from the ground up by @madforpancakes. His first attempts at the logo were pretty sloppy. But he taught himself how to use Adobe Illustrator and by final iteration had created a really classy and timeless inlay.
Cactus Pete's have a great vibe to them, but it is a tribute set that uses the inlay/theme from an existing casino and I think designing your own custom name , inlay, theme etc is just much more challenging.

I agree, but that should be a testament for how awesome rainier is too. It’s holding its own against a real casino tribute which will always have wide appeal. Can’t discredit kifer on the creative front though. He added chips and made some decisions with the chips that really put the Cactus set over the top as a whole.

Maybe there was too much voting going on, maybe people weren't interested in some of the early sets voted on. Regardless, the discussion about why people like (or don't like) a chipset is great, as is the link to the threads that give background on how/why sets were created.

Why did you set up the chips in this massively MESSED UP way?
Don't get me wrong...I love this set above almost all others. But can you please explain yourself, regarding this photo?
