The decision is made anyway, it will be a customized PolyInoo 43mm set. Once again, I thank @HMK for insisting on sending me samples. Otherwise, these wonderful chips would have gone under my radar.

Prototypes is being made and I was told I would receive them either yesterday or today, which obviosuly won't happen. I expect at least one more round of prototypes since I did some experiments with the background pattern for the first round just to see which one turns out to be best.

Good call. I got a custom tournament set on 43mm Polyinnos (Midnight Casino), and the artist who designed it did a fantastic job. He exceeded any and all expectations.

I gave a sample chip to a waitress named Kayla and she absolutely LOVED it to the point where she carries it with her to an actual casino, Pechanga Casino in Temecula.

I think you will be very happy with 43 Polyinno's because I am.

Either get yourself some Matsui Racks or get some Bud Jones 43's and an Apache case next. You gotta protect those chips.

Also FWIW, If you had gone with DDLM's, I would have suggested 43's also.

I fear I'm doing you no favors here, but...

Given the discrimination and exacting standards you've shown in your reviews - your appreciation of and sensitivity to the fine details - you should probably try to get your hands on some samples of casino-quality plastics: at the very least Bud Jones and Matsui, perhaps even Abbiati or Bourgogne & Grasset (especially since, I believe, you're outside the US?). They feel very different from clay chips. Most forum members greatly prefer clays to plastics, but there is also a substantial contingent that absolutely love the way plastics feel. I'm specifically drawing your attention to them because they're easy to overlook - they don't show up on retailers' websites and they aren't frequently discussed here on PCF (at least, not relative to Paulsons and china clays).

Matsui and Abbiati will sell custom chips to retail customers, although minimum order quantities may be a difficult hurdle to overcome.

Bud Jones and B&G would have to be obtained second-hand. I know you're looking for new chips, but many of the casino-used sets being circulated on the third-party market are effectively mint, so close to new that you'd never know the difference. Plastics in particular are very long-wearing. They could be customized to your tastes by relabeling.

Plastics, clays, and ceramics all have different graphic design paradigms. Clays have debossed edge molds, inserted edge spots, and center inlays; ceramics have printing across the entire face and the rolling edges (sometimes used for original designs, sometimes used to mimic clays or plastics). Plastics have their own style with a printed center label but a variety of geometric patterns around the rim of the face and on the rolling edge. That gives you some further, interesting (IMHO) options to play with when looking for your "forever" set.

Regarding the PolyInno 43mm, the order is already made and paid for.

In the future, however, it would be nice with something more clay-ish, and I would certainly make more research then. It was a mistake to sell my previous set before purchasing the new one as I'm desperate to have my new set to get some games going
