I'll be in Vegas later this year, and I'm planning to bring home some of the nicer chips I find as souveniers. What chips do you guys recommend picking up?
Additionally do you have any tips for finding chips in nicer condition? Currently planning to give a nice tip to the cage and just ask straight up for "nice ones".

I especially love minimalist $100s, currently on my shortlist:
Mirage 100 (maybe)
Aria 100
Bellagio 100
Ceasars 100
Wynn 100 (maybe)

Mirage will be rebranding to Hard Rock. So if you don’t visit often you may want to thin about getting a piece of history.

Will the old chips typically find there way onto the market? I wouldn't want to pay $100 for a chip that'll cost me $15 in a year.

Bear Claw Mirage look the best out of the lot

These are all nice, what did you go with?
Hey! Took a break from poker... but to answer your question, I got a bunch of really nice chips small denomination chips from Bellagio while playing poker. They must have been added to circulation recently as they were in really good condition! Aside from that, no 100s... I tried to get a few, but the cages wouldn't give me single 100 chips (against the law apparantly?) and I didn't want to play any table games at those stakes!

It been 6 months since he last posted and 5 months since he last login

It will be a smart move for him if he found his set and uninstalled PCF
I've found my set, now I need to find people to play with, and learn how to play without spitting out money like a broken ATM :)

Shouldn't be against the law... I've never heard of that before.

Not from Nevada. Cash chips destroyed when no longer in use. (much to the dismay of pretty much everyone here!)
True, however If the casino goes bankrupt and owes a lot of money a judge can and will court order the chips to be sold at auction. Rare but it happens.

nice Las Vegas 100$ chips from Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch, Mandalay Bay

I think it's because I wasn't going to play with them, just take them home. Or maybe the cage people didn't like how I looked, or I wasn't tipping enough, honestly no clue.

I’ve never wanted a $100, but in practice you should be able to sit at any small limit table and buy in for several hundred, make a few minimum bets and cash out. The dealer will color you up to $100’s and just pocket one on the way to the cage.
