Big Pot Takedown & Quick Cash Out - How to Address? (3 Viewers)

Actually, ya know what... Maybe I really DO need to lighten up with the slow rolling rule. The more I think about it the more I reckon I should have just laughed it off in that instance. Hmm. Must be losing my sense of humor :S

It certainly depends on the rest of your players...you could start a fight that way in some games.

I think the record straddle I've seen is $64. Guinness jams as first to act. Claims queens. Doesn't show.

In a $0.25/$0.50 game, that would put the total blind money in play at $127.75.

I've played in games with the same nominal stakes where that's basically the whole purse.

I committed the opposite the other night at a local card house. I found myself down $500 relatively early in a 6hour session. Pulled out my last benji and announced to the table that if I was able to get back to even, I planned to leave soon after. Cards turned friendly and my hands held. I was able to battle back to positive $150. I announced my last orbit and left afterwards. Nobody seemed to mind even though I had one of the biggest stacks and it left the table w 7 players. And if they did mind...WTF cares.
I understand a home game is different but nobody in my 16yr game has ever left immediately after a big pot. And if they did, no big deal. The money usually just rotates week-to-week for most part.
